The pictures do look like Apache, but that Axe (in one of the Big Button pictures) is not typical of them, as far as I can tell.
Still pretty sadge that they become a civ.

Yes, it is a silly civ to add, because they were already in the game, in the first place, and there are many other civs that should have made it in.

Honestly all I ask for is an Africa dlc with 3 African nations and whole new maps and minor civs. But I guess they go for the easy money first.

Im hopping that’s a joke, because that kind of nonsense is what make spaniards yell “black legend” everytime they get a hard time on colonisation just because we are all mestizos now

Like it or not, almost all americans and canadians have native in them, and they were very dependant on native auxiliaries both during the 1776 Revolution, and the Civil War.
Making them a hybrid civ not only makes sense, but also avoids the issue of having no Revolution options for them.
If it bothers you so much, then surely you are also bothered by Portuguese design where they cannot even spell the unit names right, gave us the Encomienda sytem which we never had, and a battlefield gun cart of the 100 Years War (Organ Gun).
It is a game, and USA having Euro-Native hybrid mechanics would not only be historically justifiable, but actually make the USA a better civ to add, and not just a ripoff of the Euros.
They are not even European anyway, so having American mechanics would be justifiable because of the continent they inhabit.

- American Revolution (1775–1783)
- Cherokee–American wars (1776–1794)
- Northwest Indian War (1785–1795)
- Nickajack Expedition (1794)
- Sabine Expedition (1806)
- War of 1812 (1811–1815) Tecumseh’s War (1811–1813) …
- First Seminole War (1817–1818)
- Winnebago War (1827)
This is just a list, every single one of those have a deeper history with many fades

And Im not saying the US should not be a civ (but they already are a Rev) or that they should not have access to natives (because they do work with them) is about how is presented within the time period
They work together? yes So as france and british
They do almost extinguished them in less than a hundred years? yes

We Ports fought the Russians and Persians for Indian Ocean commerce, but it does not mean they were still not our traditional allies.
The Americans betrayed quite a few native nations, but others were always hostile, and war ensued like it did everywhere.
I would say it. The USA should only be a civ in a game that starts in teh 18th century, not teh 15th, specially when the game already has Revolution mechanics.
And like all European Powers, French and British have a host of Native Allies cards. In fact, French have full Native deck strats, and they work pretty well.
So did the Tupi, because they got involved in wars between France, Portugal and the Dutch, but that does not mean Ports should not have as Native Allies shipments.
Yet Asian civs are still full of Magic and Ports have wrong names for units and techs.

Exactly that is the point, you see French working fine with them because in the time period they were allies in the Anglo-French war
By that logic, Spanish should have the same if not even more native deck strats (even tho’ in the same time period they overuled all native autonomy)
Thats why you can post to speak the disconformity, so as I just do, we all can agree that if you found something wrong it should be said to change it
They have it because (by the logic of France) they help Port in exploration and the Guaranitic War

The Fench also killed a lot of natives, specially in the Fur Wars, in which them and the Haudenosaunee went on actual genocidal campaigns against other tribes, like the Algonquian peoples.
That they were allies with the Hauds, still does not make what they did to other natives fine for them.
That is just how wars go.
In a similar situation, we Portuguese destroyed Somalia’s trade economy, prompting starvation throughout the land, to defend our Ethiopian allies, but we still screwed over the Somalians pretty far (though the Somalians did begin the escalation of the conflict, when they burned churches in Ethiopia, and killed Portuguese civilians that worked in the country.
And they also got screwed over by every side they had previously helped, when the European Powers found them to be unreliable and powermongering.
On the Tupi perspective, however, it was THEIR land, so they should have been free to change their mind in their choice of allies, as much as they wished, but in reality it never goes well when you betray one group to help another, and then betray that group to help even another one.
I think that would be a really interesting civ:
I also think South America should get 2 civs - Mapuche and Tupi. Mupuche is the area of present Argentina, and Tupi is the area of present Brazil. It would be cool to represent this part of the world.
Apart from these three civs, a difficult choice remains. I think some Minor Civilizations could just get a bonus Unit.

Problem with Tupi, is that they would have very few buildings and units.
They would essentially be like the Lakota, but without Cavalry, which just does not work.

I am ever considering converting to Orthodox. At least they do not worship the Dollar.
Perhaps native europeans and native americans could for a defensive alliance, because despite our old wars, we both have been victims of hostile colonizing powers.

Nah, I will stay in Europe. It is my homeland, and I have a family.
Also, Siberia has bad Internet, but I guess at least you do not get Dollar-worship churches there!
