Patchnotes up bois

I think I have not made myself understood. The unit is broken in the early stages of the game, but not in the later stages.

For those of us who play treaty, it makes no sense to create this unit. It will occupy too much population to be viable.

Could go back to 2 population in imperial. I think that would be a good solution.

With the new European Skins I have a question, will the developers give the revs the same treatment? because I would love to see the gaucho with an infernal skin or the revolutionary with a patrician skin. :crossed_fingers:

Patricians during the English invasions.

Infernals during the defense of the north.

PS: I would also like to see more skin changes for Asian civilizations, the ninja is not historically correct, although in reality if they wanted to be historically correct the ninja would be a mechanic similar to the Atlantean heroes of the AOM.a

What’s funny is that before they did something similar with the Lakota giving them new visuals and changing things to be more accurate.

Tell me you don’t play inca without telling me you don’t play inca lol.

I’ve been asking for this change forever. Since they nerfed huaraca ff and made them useless I said that inca need the huaraca to be viable anti-artillery late game, I said lower their multiplier vs infantry and cav but give them enough range to deal with artillery before they die which they finally have done.
Chimu can’t trade effectively late game vs a mass of anti-cav and heavy cannons and neither could huaracas, now at least huaracas have a bit more range and a higher multiplier that they should at least trade cost efficiently vs heavy cannons/bombards etc which previously was unbeatable as inca.
Huaracas aren’t a good unit vs infantry, they lose cost effectively and even with more range they have a terrible, slow animation that makes kiting almost impossible. Even with this buff it remains far worse vs infantry than the arrow knight for example which has 30 range.

It’s just 5 lines of code, if they implemented the solution I provided.
Like the sacred cow, there are many small changes easy to implement. However, modders and devs commonly don’t found these potential changes, and thus we depend of fellow gamers’ feedback.

and the JPK also have promotions and good siege. I had already thought before that these changes could be problematic and I think that the JPK will be nerfed in future patches.

In my opinion, the Aztecs already have the anti-cavalry role well covered (ERK, Pumas, Skulls) and they need to be stronger against infantry. That’s why I think that the JPK bonus against cavalry could be removed or even give it a bonus of less than 1 against cavalry and that at the same time the JPK stop being heavy infantry. The JPK would not displace the coyote because coyotes are shock infantry, have resistance to ranged attacks and are faster, so they would be better against skirmishers and cannons. While the JPK would be good against heavy infantry and buildings. JPKs would be bad against cavalry in general, coyotes would be weak against ranged cavalry and mediocre against melee cavalry. So they would need the support of pumas or ERK to face the cavalry.

It would be great to see Meiji era skins for the Japanese units, or even new Meiji units :jp:

So it says that the update will drop on Wednesday 2, do we know what time zone that is suppose to be? Is that UTC?

ERKs (and AK in the PUP, thanks god not in update) were unfairly nerfed for a civ which lacks artillery and true cavalry. They are the only ones with a penalty vs infantry and without bonus vs artillery…

On the one hand it would be great to see the Meiji Era, but on the other it is the time when Japan became westernized and I would not like it to lose its uniqueness, perhaps as a revolution it would be a good middle ground, but without a doubt I would like to see the Meiji Era represented in the game.

11AM PT/18:00 UTC is the current plan.

As I remember the AK bonus was going to be against all infantry in this patch. Good thing they changed the bonus to go against cavalry.

In my opinion, the ERK received many strong nerfs without the Aztecs receiving benefits on other units. Now they are improving the JPK, but I don’t think this is the right decision; It is now a near 5 speed halberdier with a bonus against heavy infantry. my prediction is that it will be considered a very oppressive unit in supremacy (maybe it’s the new ERK). but I’m not sure what his performance will be in treaty.

I would like a skin of a jaguar warrior and an eagle warrior skin for the Aztec WC and one of the character ā€œMacheteā€ for the Mexican general.

Melee units arent the best ones in AoE3, see how all 3 melee civs (Spain, India, Aztecs) have need buffs in some way. If hatamotos arent that good (they are lame but easily stopped) they wouldnt be better with lack of range support.

The issue is the lack of range, a wall and you are done and mortars still cost more pop than euro ones for the same stats

no clue about russian Counter Dragons, they deleted them?

Japan has 11 unique units not counting ships. I don’t understand why people complain about skins to European civilizations that some only have 2 unique units.

Nobody mentioned the skins of European civilizations in a pejorative way, we are talking about what we would like the developers to add to the game, all from respect and kindness, please let’s not make a storm in a glass of water.

People have complained for a long time that they only rework European civilizations.
And obviously they are the oldest civilizations and the ones with the fewest unique units.

They don’t only update euro civs those civs are just getting updated because people asked for more unique skins for units to spice things up. And the devs delivered. The non euro civs already have unique unit rosters and skins so I don’t see what the problem is.

Yes, but that’s not the topic that me and HellScorpion68 were talking about, please don’t perpetuate that topic.
