PC Game Crash

Continuing the discussion from Crash Report:

I also experienced consistent crashes last night (4 times), Windows Event Viewer log says: Incorrect function, details are attached below.

I’ve tried the following action after each crash:

  • Uninstalled all C++ redistributable then installed the latest version
  • Turned off v-sync, limit FPS, lower down graphic
  • Updated all keyboard hotkeys so none of them had conflict

Still, no luck

PC:

  • AMD 5 7600x with integrated AMD graphics (but the game uses NVIDIA graphics)
  • NVIDIA 4070 Super
  • Ram DDR5 32GB (2x16GB)
  • Latest version of driver software
This is a new PC, so can’t compare it with the previous condition.

Windows Event Viewer Application log:

General Tab: Incorrect function.

Solved by disabling my CPU-integrated graphics through BIOS.
The game/app might be confused with 2 graphic cards: NVIDIA & CPU-integrated graphics.
With NVIDIA becoming the only active graphics card, no more crashes.

Did that really fix it for you, or did the crashes come back?

I don’t have an integrated graphics card, and this crash is persistent and completely prevents me from being able to play the game.

Same issue, I have an intel CPU and AMD 6950XT GPU. The event viewer says “Incorrect function” everytime.

The integrated GPU is already disabled, but the problem persists. I have many other games, and this is the only game that crashed ever, almost every hour or so.

After disabling XMP in BIOS, the game no longer crashes on my computer. I guess it is because the memory OC issues.
