The material?
Then how do the units create infinite torches to throw at buildings? What’s preventing units from throwing stones at the wall?
This is a game, not a simulation, stop ruining it with ridiculous concepts such as unattackable walls.
I’m actually not for unattainable walls. But I don’t want them as easily destroyed as in AoE3 because that is just a joke.
Have you actually played aoe3? fortified walls are outright OP.
I have played it enough to know that walls are just easily destroyed when attacked by certain units with torches.
Well, not enough to know that certain units are siege unit replacements.
I expect aoe4 will eventually have this kind of units as well, like siege elephants.
And if you need a realistic explanation, think of it like torches in aoe3 have gunpowder inside and make little explosions on impact.
They can burn down palisades, just not stone walls
Yes, little pebbles being thrown at the wall will break it down. This will totally go faster than if you had just made siege to break the wall down
Stop complaining and rather practice constructive criticism instead of talking about ruining the game.
Nobody is talking about unattackable walls, its just limited to siege weapons and this is only an Idea nothing more or less.
These people nowadays.
This!
I think aoe3 has the right balance when it comes to walls and its usage.
