POLL: Should (Regular/Non-Polish/Non-Lithuanian/Non-Magyar) Hussars have "wings"?

Which would still be the absolute minority.

a whole 3 people difference doesn’t mean much. fact is though, this poll is very small and i’d be thoroughly surprised if they changed all those civs because of a poll with less then 100 people.

Fair, especially with the pushy people who desperately want to prevent this and therefore probably vote with multiple alts.

A best solution would be a poll for this in-game with a vote per copy.

The people who want wingless hussars can just make a mod or something.

i could also say “especially with the adamant people who desperately want this and therefore probably vote with multiple alts”.
see how pretentious that is?

Or remove them for the majority who asks for this change and introduce an Official Mod instead for all those who want to use the original unit skin.

But most of the people I see against it are those with too much spare/forum time and it’s the opposite for those in favor of it. See where I’m coming from?

In any case, an in-game poll still remains the best survey choice on this.

Or you could do that. I personally don’t care that much, I would leave hussars just because that is their classic look

really? i see plenty of people who are for it who are here all the time too.

If that’s what the majority wants, I respect it and would only ask for an Official Mod removing their Wings in that case.

Yes, really. It’s our usual aggressive anti-everything forum members who I see wholeheartedly arguing against this suggestion, despite being a minority.

I voted to just leave them but I’m not anti everything

I wasn’t referring to you. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion after all but we should keep discussions civil.

Should they have got wings? No, they shouldnt have gotten wings since the beggining.

Should they remove the wings now? No. The whole visual identity of the unit is built around the wings and removing it would make the unit boring to look at. Its like if you changed the name of Mayans to Tarascans. Yes, it fits them better but most prople would be just annoyed, myself included.

Yea if the game is released a week ago I would vote to change, but the game is 20 years already, changing the model of such common unit will always cause confusion.

Probably what should be changed is the name of the Winged Hussar so you dont have the confusion of three winged hussars but only one of them is named after their wings.

This is like if Zerks threw their axes but we still had Throwing Axeman.

It really gets confusing. I don’t get why being a 20 year old game makes the change a bad idea. For 20 years we didn’t have a Polish civ so it had never been never an issue until now.

It would honestly be quite weird with only the Magyar Huszar.

Its not a bad idea, but theres a diference beetwen changing something and changing something´s identity entirely. And Hussars would lose their entire visual identity, which is their wings.

The only case this happened was with keshik stats and those got changed soon after being added (and didnt really have much identity of their own either).

Poles dont change the fact that Hussars identity is the wings (and also, wasnt it a problem with Liths and Magyars already?)

If you don’t want any change made to the ‘‘20 year old game’’ then go play age of kings, for I’m afraid that , if you havent realised it yet, there has already been one or two small additions / alterations made to the game since then…

I only made this thread because you were claiming 90% of people wanted to keep the wings in my previous post (which is clearly false if you see the numbers of the poll) 11
