There is a chance Hindustanis will get the Armored Elephant with the Delhi Spearman. I am sure Bengalis will get Rathas because a dev already teased us a wheel.
I wouldn’t say broken right away, need to see it in game. Goths have 10 extra pop space but it never felt broken to me. And this only works if you have a lot of villagers, but if you don’t have enough villagers, this bonus falls short in my opinion.
Absolutely. Rename them to Kievans, Rus, Russians, etc.
No, it wouldn’t, but we have a civ called Slavs and then civs like Poles & Bohemians. Which is precisely the equivalent of having a civ called Indians and then civs like Gurjaras & Bengalis.
But here it’s supposedly combined with elephant units, with according to the overview a resistance to bonus damage and conversion. That might be a pretty pop space efficient military, making me a little more cautious about the idea.
140 villagers and 120 karambit warriors, why not? 160 villagers and 56 elephants, not so sure.
It’s less of a hazard for team games, where people have less villagers and more trade carts at this stage anyway.
And then again this might be the civ that gets nothing from Imperial Age (sort of), so they wouldn’t be very good elephants.
I see…initially I thought the UT is so weak that it worth to be a free bonus. Now I can see the point.
In 1v1 too, 140 villagers + 40 elephants + 30 trash units to cover elephant weakness + 4 Trebuchet can be a nightmare.
I’m thinking about that. It can be a possibility. But they also may have elephant archer with elite upgrade. That is also very pop efficient unit specially against archer civ.
I think the biggest benefit of that tech is that you can get away with an overboom. Or if you have an advantage to push in lategame you don’t have to delete your vills. You just research it and get about 15 pop space for you military. That’s really nice strategical advantage.
The 10 % itself isn’t that great in the very lategame, there tech advantages are way more important thanpop space. Not saying it isn’t important but if the civ has terrible trash and/or siege it’s just not that good.
There are only 2 boxes ( Scout Cavalry and Bloodlines ) in Feudal Age Stable, so it pretty much confirms that Camel Scout is Feudal Age unit. Probably It won’t replace Scout Cavalry and Camel Scout can be upgraded to Camel Rider in Castle Age.
wouldn’t be a 55 F / 60 G unit in feudal a bit overkill?
Even if your opponent is going scouts you would also first stay at home with them to kill these scouts and lose basically all opportunity to raid.
If I was to make a camel scout I would make it more like 60 F 20 G or so. This way it would be way more useful.
I’m speaking of a scenario when you just send your camel scouts (with 0 PA) forward like a scrush and if for some reason it comes to a scout v scout battle you have the advantage but if it comes to a battle with archers you have a disadvanatge to normal scouts. WIth 55F 60 G camel scouts this scenario isn’t working as these camel scouts would be much worse than normal scouts in raiding due to their higher cost. It would be a big blunder to make a raid trade with so expensive camel scouts.
Yes, in fact the strongest or most representative state of medieval India was the Delhi Sultanate (1206-1526), the Mughal Empire (1526-1857) enters the modern period of aoe 3…
Unless they deviate about how unit upgrades work I don’t see feudal camels being any cheaper than castle age ones. Also this civ make camels that are produced 20% faster before other civs can even produce them so it would be crazy to reach castle age with such a lead AND having saved ressources in the process.
