Possible civilizations to add by number of campaign appearences

Yeah I know that they kinda are.

I admited that Vandals arent a good civ choice

Fyrdmen could have shields as well as spears, and high pierce armour to represent the shield wall. But then I guess they’d end up similar to either Eagle Warriors or the Lithuanian Spearman-line.

I’m not sure about Housecarls. On the one hand, they fought at the battles of Stamford Bridge and Hastings, both of which are actually in the game already (and that’s precisely why they’re relevant to this thread). But on the other hand, they only existed towards the very end of the Anglo-Saxon period (for less than 100 years), the most famous battle they fought in is one they lost, and their name is just a different spelling of a unit that already exists.

(Also, I don’t actually think they should add Anglo-Saxons…)

Tlaxcalans are an aztec faction though. “Aztecs” cover 7 nahua groups mexicas, xochimilcs, chalcas, tlaxcalans, tepanecs, acolhuas and tlahuicas. So they being “aztecs” for the campaign is accurate.
It’s just that the original team designed the aztecs based on mexicas (Tenochtitlan), xochimilcs (forced conscription) and tepanecs (tenacious monks and brujos until the XVIII century).

That’s a possibility. Though I dislike changing their name because in the end they are still uyghurs and tibetan people. That’d be like hiding the problem under the rug.
I am a strong supporter of tibetans, so it’d be awesome to have them with their real name. And as a chinese player said: tibetans can be added if there is no mention of freetibet or any separatist movement. Just add “and the Tibetan empire became part of the Yuan dynasty”. There should be no problems.

Yes. But it would be still a reasonably good faction to add, as despite sharing a common language, they certainly had enough differences to be sworn enemies. As far as history can tell, the Aztecs of Tenochtitlan and the Tlaxcaltecs (aka Tlaxcala) never got along with each other, and considered themselves different entities. We have already multiple Germanic (Teutons, Goths) factions in game, so why not have multiple Nahua factions

I’m proposing just a few units to add some editor diversity. Given that there is York and Hastings as maybe more scenarios down the road.

I think a Spanish DLC with Castilla/León/Aragon and Moors would be a good DLC idea after india, africa and america

Tbh Castilla and Leon are covered and Aragon isnt the most exciting civ, I just thought that Aragon + Moors seemed like a possible DLC to get

Also, a single DLC for Asia, Africa and America and three for Europe seems a bit unfair to me

Technically america did not get its own expansion rather just got added in other dlcs’s.

True, but tbh they kind of were the main focus of The Conquerors

How about a Levant crusader civ, something in between Saracen and Teuton? Relic and trade cart bonus’?

I think that the problem is that Crusaders arent a civ really.

Yeah I was just replaying the Saladin campaign and thought a Crusader state or Jerusalem “civ” or kingdom would be cool. If not, would be cool to get the Krak des Chevaliers as a building or other for scenario editor.

It would be pretty easy to make one too, take the byzantines as the base make them speak french change the wonder to the jerusalem building and add giscards skin as the uu.

no, divided dlcs, a asian dlc with Polynesia, Bengalis, Tamils and Tibetans (or other idk) A Africa dlc with Kongo, Cameroon and Marroqui, and a dlc with Wair, Chimú, Iroquis and Sioux

sorry my error, Wari, no Wair

Why did you choose Marroqui and Cameroon?

Really i have basically no idea of medieval african civs but i Say Marroco can representate Moors, And Cameroon… Better replace with Hausa
Ir Egiptians…

The only sensible suggestions for new civs from the Iberian Peninsula.

Exactly!

I am counting on at least 2-3 brand new civs from America: Tarascans, Muisca and Chimu.

Typically an American DLC could add the unique American Technology Tree, the American default units, and a new architecture set - Andean Set.

If there was a DLC that added Bavarians and Saxons then you would have your civ ready - Teutons civ

Teutons civ are very much based on the Crusaders.
