Prediction for dlc late 2026

You see Moors and Berbers as seperate entities?
From what i remember he was talking about an arabic split around Egypt/Arabia. Splitting the Mamelukes and the Saracens and another faction.

The Moroccan Moors not as much (though a little bit yeah) but the Muslims in Iberia did seem to become their own seperate group yeah. I think an Andalusian/Moors civ should mainly be representative of the Iberian Muslims, but with a little bit of Moroccan influence as well.

Minimum 60 actual civis to round off not factions like 3K.

Probably Chronicles 3…Chronicles of Rome, basically the birth of the Roman Republic up to Brennus’ attack on Rome (500-390 BC) (this is seen in AoEO) or directly Caesar’s great campaign with everything: Ptolemies, Gauls and obviously Romans (59-44 BC)…

Very late…or well, the Iroquois weren’t so late, but they have to make them fit the 16th century…

We always thought about it, but I don’t rule it out…something like Chronicles with its own data mod with the AoE 3 bonuses and civs (although each civ would have 2 UUs each and no decks)…

They’re already there, but as mods…it’s what it is…

Yes, the Balkans, Northern Europe, or how about East Asia? Now for real, 100% no fake…

Yes, but I don’t think so… they only release two DLCs every year. With luck, we’d see a main DLC in August and then a Chronicles DLC in December, but I doubt it. They’ll probably release Age of Empires 2 DLC now (The Last Chieftains), then Age of Mythology (Obsidian Mirror), then Age of Empires 4 around mid-year (the Viking DLC), then Age of Mythology again (probably Incas?), and finally Age of Empires 2 (Chronicles of Rome)…

Yes, I like the idea…

Yes, I don’t know to what extent they should rename the Teutons as Germans or Germanics…

Nah, AoE 2 is fine and will continue to have DLCs at least until 2029… after that, I have no idea. Microsoft could fire them or make them develop DLCs only for AoM, AoE 4 and 5…

They’ll probably bring in Kurds, Crusaders, Abbasids, or even Sudanese… Saracens are already Ayyubids and Mamluks…

Correct but not for console players they aren’t

Could you please stop posting your personal guesses as if they’re fact? You were called out for spreading misinformation in another thread only a few hours ago!

Your forgetting aoe 4 has 2 dlcs confirmed for this year

I’m fine with Teutons as they are. In case of a split, I’d suggest renaming the current ones as ā€œThuringiansā€ (for Central German umbrella) and adding Suebians (Upper German umbrella) and Saxons (Low Germans, Frisians, and Anglo-Saxons).

I like the idea of keeping the name Saracens for the current Syro-Kurdo-Egypto-Iraqi umbrella¹ while adding Moors (Andalusia and arabized parts of Morocco) and Arabians (holy cities in Hejaz and Bedouins in general).

¹ (Though I could see a separate Egyptian civ based on both Muslim and Coptic citizens.)

I touched on the issues regarding Teuton split in another thread in more depth:

An East Asian Campaign DLC with a new Sinitic architecture will be great imo.

Just an overall fix for 3K would do it.

It’s strange because x86 consoles allow mods and are basically semi-closed PCs…

These aren’t just personal guesses; I do think they’ll keep releasing DLCs until 2029 because Age of Empires II is their cash cow… I thought they wouldn’t release any DLCs for the second game after 2024, and here we are, releasing DLCs and civs everywhere…

Yes, the Chinese campaign, but there isn’t much information about it, just that it’s coming and that’s it…

Yes, I was thinking about Alamanni or even Bavarians…

Wouldn’t they basically just be Berbers?

Yes, the real MEDIEVAL DLC of East Asia…Jurchens, Khitans and Chinese, or simply Chinese, Koreans and Japanese…

Andalusians and a sizable portion of Moroccans spoke Arabic daily instead of Berber, they also incorporated elements of conquered European cultures of Iberia and North Africa. They are distinct enough to be their own thing. (And El Cid campaign already uses Saracens instead of Berbers for Andalusia and coastal North Africa)

Well, that seems fine to me. The thing is, I wasn’t sure whether to count them as Saracens or Berbers, because in Age of Empires 3 the Moroccans use Berber units in their historical battle and mods… and since Tariq’s campaign features the Berbers, that’s another reason to consider Al-Andalus and the Andalusians as Berbers… In VaV, the Umayyads also use Berbers in the Charlemagne scenario, and in the Ironside scenario, the Qurtubah Caliphate uses Saracens instead…

Ok then, what’s your source for your claim that AoE2 will have DLCs until at least 2029?

I guess he is looking at the relese dates 1999 og game 2019 de last dlc 2029

This guy regularly states his opinion or guesses like they were facts.

I think it’s a translation issue and not his intent to mislead us.

I think it’s an educated guess, I mean why complain surely we want dlc forever at this point?

The question of the post was to guess what dlcs will come in 2026 and speculating post 2026 is fine,

WE and forgotten empires did say they will keep making them as long as we keep playing

I don’t have an issue with the content of the post, I just find his wording/phrasing confusing. Because he talks as if he knew some official information when he is just speculating.
