Both of Jhokang and Potala Palace were built during the emperor Songtsen Gampo in 7th century.
The Wiki says:
"The palace is named after Mount Potalaka, the mythical abode of the bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara.[1] The 5th Dalai Lama started its construction in 1645[2] after one of his spiritual advisers, Konchog Chophel (died 1646),
The site on which the Potala Palace rises is built over a palace erected by Songtsen Gampo on the Red Hill.["
It apparently was built over a previous structure, but as it is now, it is a 17th century construction.
If there are paintings or records about the old palace, it might be designed as the old one.
Anyway, it is sure that it was built in 7th century in the beginning. It still can be the candidate.

The Jokhang Temple can be the wonder.
The Potala Palace can be the model for the Tibetan Building set Castle.
To be honest, they could just use the Indian set or the Central Asian set, and it would still be good.
No need to have a seperate set.
Am curious, are Ngao Mbeba the same as Ngulu?

The Shotel is also just a sword, yet we have the Shotel Warrior, so we could have the Ngulu Warrior.
If Kongolese was to be added, I would love for them to get another UU, like an Shielded Spearman.

Not at all. New civs do not need new Architecture sets, which would take too much to animat, and dissuade Microssoft from investing in them, in the first place.
The name of Ngao Mbeba has more historical meaning, we can just assume or set that they use Ngulu blade.
And I think it does not need 2nd UU, especially the another infantry. A spearmen with high armor could be the UU for other civ.

Such like Polynesian, its UU could be the Taiaha warrior who uses the Taiaha spear. Maybe share the looks of Sunda Royal Fighter to it and set that it is a spearman with high melee armor and super quick moving.
I doubt we will ever get a Polynesian civ. they would surely require new architecture, and would need to have a lot of the Tech Tree knocked out.
Not to mention no Wonder to give them.
How about Indian factions? The current Indian civ only represent Gujrati people. Southern Indian faction don’t even use camels. It can be nice to have variety of Indian factions like Maratha, Hindusthan, Bengals etc
