No need for unique architecture for each civ. The architecture setup is fine the way it is.
Currently, modders cannot add new civs. They can only replace existing civs with others.
New civs with innovative bonuses and mechanics can still be added imho.
I saw in another forum that europa universals tibet patch is not banned in china so why cant we have tibet?
Also tamils and tibet beats georgians any day for a civi spot. They fit the empire more and have more historical value.
They can add the tibetians as DLC, which is simply not available in china. Same for proper corpse decay with skeletons.
But AI won’t use the new tech tree properly which is a bummer.
Now when will modders be able to add new civs? I’d rather not replace any of the current civs because somethings would be messed up.
I agree, replacing civs defeats the point. One modder had discovered a way of adding a unique tech in the Dark Age for existing civs which would in turn convert them into a new civ.
But when will this be fixed by the devs, I do not know.
I’m pretty sure Xi Jinping doesn’t play AoE2, and thus getting the game censored in China would just be a big middle finger to all Chinese fans and pro players who aren’t responsible for the dictatorship.
Mybe someone should make a new topic with a civilization poll, there is too much topics talking about similar things.
Hebrews are Bronze Age. there was no Hebrew civilization in the Middle Ages.
It is quite difficult to get an exact list of all medieval era civs can without missing something a person may like. You may try if you wish, why calling for someone? Polls in the forums cannot be edited to keep including new civs as they keep coming in comments.
I was thinking that they would represent medieval Jewish life.
They had no country, borders, cities, armies, hordes, or even a province. Medieval Jews were not even genetically Hebrews anymore.
Hebrews (or Israelites) should be an AoE1 civ, they havo place in AoE2. It is like asking for civs for ethnic minorities that live amongst other peoples, because they have no land.
Yeah that is true that Hebrews should be rather an AoE1 civ. Now once we are able to create mods for AoE2 DE that lets us add civs, then we can still be just rather making a mod for AoE2 DE that features the Hebrews. I mean the Hebrews only being a mod civ in AoE2 while Hebrews are a lot more likely to be an official civ in AoE1.
When DE was released, they said no new civs will be added.
LOL Khazars! They can settle you Jewish desires.
Cumans say hi:
Some AI names are form Khazar rulers.
Wonder is the Sarkel Fortress, built by them.
I have no jewish desires, and the Cumans are already the Khazars.
True. I wont expect more civs for the incoming one or two years. Then they can remake their mind to add more
This is exactly what i’m expecting. After two years of monthly updates the might get to a well balanced and well optimized state. Then they could focus in adding new civilizations withouth touching the already existing ones which would be already (almost) perfectly balanced.
