Puzzle time!

If puzzle words are really related to future balance change, Teutons and Murder Holes change seem pretty unnecessary to me.

Why not? Their TB is a joke. And they are very unpopular compared to other 2 American civs.

A tweak for their TB or castle UT will be ok but at the same time it should not be that much strong. Incas are really strong civ and so underrated and not bad at all. They are A tier imo not even less.

In which map? They are always considered as a “B” tier everywhere.

You didn’t post the completed version :disappointed_relieved:

Will there be some more puzzles and hints?

When will be this " tomorrow "?

What does that matter? We already have all the words filled out here. Another puzzle with more substantial hints would be cool though.

they have Post it on facebook

Personally I think the current African civs (Malians in particular) and Saracens are in a much bigger need of splits than Teutons.

Here’s the completed version! Sorry for not posting this yesterday, we had a last minute schedule change. Hope you guys enjoyed! I’ll go back and read through this thread and see if I can comment on a few things regarding speculation.

The villagers are working so hard in this pic, they would be worth getting some new buffs,I guess😂

Speculation you said?

Has anyone managed to guess at least a little?

And @Nerathion since your questions and feedback on this is great, hopefully this can give a little insight into our process when it comes to communication, speculation, what we can and can’t comment on, and a little more.

Communication can be tricky because a lot of it involves timing from other teams outside of ours (which is community and player focused) to make sure all the major beats are addressed, whether it’s with producers, developers, marketing, and so on. What we can and can’t share depends on where things are in the development stage, how close we are to the launch stage whenever everything is locked in, and additional major changes that might be needed at any point before launch.

Sharing details before things are officially locked in can cause information issues down the road regarding content, launch dates, last minute changes, and so on. The entire Age team also supports multiple titles simultaneously that are both already playable (like Age II DE) and in development (like Return of Rome!), so we have to prepare and plan communication and content for the existing things also on top of fun things like this and the longer and larger teasers like we did for Dynasties of India.

The example I like to use on why we seem radio silent more often than not is that sometimes things run into issues at the last possible second: We intended to launch a PUP for Age III DE during the holidays, but even casually mentioning one was coming a day before its intended launch (my fault) resulted in a misfire when a bug popped up during the final verification an hour before it was scheduled to go live.

The PUP got delayed to January, and we had to backpedal on communications as a result. It created a lot of disappointment among players by having to roll back and tell them after they’d been looking forward to this the entire day sorry, found an issue, know you were stoked to have this before the holidays, but we have to hang onto it a little longer, while also spending additional time informing people asking “where is it?” who might have missed the corrected information when it was first released. :worried:

TL;DR - There’s a lot of radio silence so we don’t miscommunicate things, backpedal on things planned alongside them, and have to spend excess time correcting that. I know “soon” is everyone’s least favorite word, but soon!

We love to interact with you guys here on the community team and I’m glad so many people enjoyed the crossword! This wasn’t meant to be a huge teaser, just a little something to tide you over in the meantime while we get ready with our usual big reveals a little later from now (and to try and mitigate the dreaded six hour maintenance with a little fun).

Not getting any info is definitely frustrating. The long stretch of time between announcements, reveals, and launches does give us more time to plan and execute teasers like we’ve done previously so we can really knock it out of the park and entertain everyone. We know folks like the screenshot puzzles especially and they’re fun for us to make, but if there’s anything else anyone would like to see the community team do or participate in the future, please let us know and we can talk about it during our planning phases.

We’re in different spots where we can be found respectively (I’m mostly on FB/IG/TW, Vumie’s mostly on Discord, some people just pop in only for events, etc.) but interacting with people is definitely one of our favorite parts about what we do, and all feedback helps whether it’s positive or negative.

I hope this provided some insight about things! Can’t wait to share the next batch of fun with you all.

They highlighted “Gambeson”??? So is this a new generic tech confirmed?

This is from FB comment section. I think “Gambeson” is confirmed.

Maybe as a new barracks tech?

I know I shouldn’t, but

It is confirmed! We just launched the PUP a few minutes ago and you can find it there. Notes for it will come next week.
