In Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, each cheat and hero unit was given a description, some of them (mostly cheat units) humorous. These texts didn’t make it into Return of Rome.
But a patch for AoE2 DE added the possibility to view a unit’s description by hovering over the selected unit’s icon. I wonder whether the aforementioned descriptions could be incorporated this way:
That would also work for the base game. Might not be feasible for the heroes since there are already so many. But there are only a few cheat units.
Note that for both the Penguin and Alfred the Alpaca, the Champion’s description is currently displayed. Why not have appropriate descriptions for them instead, for the fun of it. In AoM(R), there’s even “background info” for certain cheat units.
