If you can’t deal with mangonels, make a mod with no siege and have fun. The most important thing is have fun, so make a mod where you can have fun without stress yourself

If it makes you feel elite and superior over 900 elo players and gives you a little bit of joy in life, then maybe they should consider adding that feature to the game
This is such a weird argument to make about a strategy game. Every civilisation being able to do something doesn’t make that thing balanced. Mangonels are an oppressive unit that damages the variety of viable unit compositions in the later game. It’s not a question of being able to deal with them – it’s that dealing with them isn’t enjoyable.

Right. At the end of the day people do know how to deal with them it just feels like it shouldn’t be a part of the game in general since it isn’t fun to play against. And like the developers said in the developer discussions, their main focus is “fun”
First of all: The concept of fun is relative to each player. The exclusive feedback from the official forum does not represent a majority opinion on the fun.
Secondly: It is totally logical and normal tratamiento in the Late Game units with higher Tier in cost effectiveness in terms of population are more used than lower Tier units (More heavy cavalry, some unique units, handcannoneer and siege will be used before than archers, pikemen, light cav, etc).

siege of empires IV very fun game. Team games are absolute mess.
and 1v1 late game is who protects their siege mass better.
