Romania/Wallachia general post

Yes, exactly, so each civ would have its campaign and players could play Dracula with the Vlacs without having to buy the dlc, as happens with Prithviraj and DoI…

Yes, I think they are going to put them in and take advantage of it to make a Slavic rework, renaming them Ruthenians, and it would be the last dlc that we would have from Eastern Europe…

For me it’s Legacy of Rome expansion with campaigns for Ivan III, Mehmed II and Majorian.

I still think only Romanians should be added (and Slavs renamed)

Why Legacy of Rome? Just because it’d include a Roman campaign?

The logic here is that Ivan III claimed Moscow was the third Rome and that Mehmed II claimed to be a Roman Emperor after defeating Constantine XI.

In that case, Charlemagne could have been another campaign but we already have a Franks campaign, and we have Charlemagne already covered in an scenario

Justinian would be a good campaign as we don’t have a Byzantine campaign

Fight me

Seems like a stretch to me. Mehmed II is the best choice for a Turks campaign, IMO, but he would be best suited for an addition in a Balkan DLC, since that region had the Turks as a common enemy (like how the Persians received a campaign with the Caucasus DLC because it was a common enemy of Georgia and Armenia). However, I think there are more interesting choices for a Slav/Ruthenian campaign, such as Alexander Nevsky or even Ivan the Terrible.

It’s a good idea…Although I would extend Majorian’s campaign to “The Last Romans” (2 missions for Aetius, 2-3 for Majorian and 1-2 for Aegidius)…

But Bari?..you know what?..you’re right, no one likes Bari xd…

Or Oleg the Wise, Dimitri Donskoi or Basil III… Ivan the Terrible is already very late, he is not even medieval, plus AoE 3 and 4 already used two events from his reign…

Hay una de Aegidus en los mods, creo, si te interesa.

I doubt this guy plays anything in AoE2 apart from replaying Dracula Campaign again and again.

Pero me refiero de manera oficial…

I even have my own modded version that only starts the Dracula Campaign.

Turks and Magyars don’t make sense just because Vlad was backed up by both of them. Ultimately, Vlad had a Romanian army.

Having the Dracula campaign without the DLC would be a good “free trial” for the Romanian civ.

Romanians could work well with a “Slavic rework” DLC and a “Legacy of Rome” DLC. First being geographic location, second being Roman origins, they are a legacy of rome in a sense.

I’m willing to bet you don’t know the first thing about modding. If you did, you would have already created a Romanian Civ and Campaign Edits instead of constantly reposting updates from that YouTube channel.

Is this how you behave in general? What a great idea, why don’t you go here and tell the OP to make his own mod with African civs if he wants an African DLC.

You do realize that this thread exists for that purpose, right? You’re complaining about a thread being used as intended, when you yourself made the choice to come here.

This is the exact reason I asked him why didn’t he tell the African DLC topic to make their own mods. Seems kind of hypocritical from him.

@Apocalypso4826 I expected you to support him, since you have got the same squawker attitude.

I am not even remotely involved in that African Thread. What are you guys getting by dragging me into it?

@Player870583437 Do you understand that creating an African Civ will require much more effort than creating your Civ? I can easily create this civ even within Scenario Editor using Triggers because I have wide range of European Units and Heroes to choose from including perfectly Romanian looking ones. But same I cannot say about making Bantu Civ (Congolese, Swahili, Shona etc.) There is a lack of material content.

It’s a game not a history lesson. So take it from playability value. And why do you need to constantly spam the same YouTube Channel video updates (which is not even remotely related to Age of Empires) over and over again?

You are hypocrite to gatekeep African Civs (not one but many) behind one low effort nonsense civ.

Yes, they need to fix Dracula’s campaign with a Balkan DLC (Romanians/Vlacs) and 3 campaigns: Matthias Corvinus (Magyars), Mehmet II (Turks) and Ivan III (Ruthenians who would be renamed Slavs)…

I think for Slavs and Magyars it would be better to do something earlier in the timeline

Like Sviatoslav and Saint Stephen

Was I somehow involved into you guys’ war? What did all this have to do with me?

I am not against a Vlach civ. Actually I’d like a DLC with a Vlach civ, remake Dracula campaign, and new campaign for Magyars, Slavs and Turks, even though I do like an East Asian DLC, a Central Asian DLC and an Africa DLC more. But more importantly, here I’d like people coming to the topic of mine to discuss the civ concepts rather than just using my topic as a weapon to argue on other topics.

Please get back to discussing the thread issue, thanks.
