Sea reform 2.0

  • There could also be a technology in the capitol or a card called fish farming/aquaculture that enables shoaling at the point of delivery, or at the dock. For non-western civilizations an equivalent could be given.

  • Another detail that could be added is that when the fishermen hunt whales, the animation should change, and also show a harpoon, instead of a fishing net.

  • I think I could train units without needing to be on the shore, and the trained units would be housed inside.
  • This should have been there a long time ago. It’s the equivalent of ‘hold position’
  • Personally I have no problem with that. I think the limit is fine, although for casual games they could enable some option that allows to go over the limit.

  • The Admiralty card should make ships cheaper. Right now it is a useless card. Although in campaigns the ship building limit should continue to be increased.

  • They could be replaced as new improvements are made, because it is a very 15th-16th century unit.It could have 3 stages, culminating in steamboats. (other types of ships may have a similar treatment)

  • Allow small boats (such as canoes and fishing boats) to move through shallow waters.

  • Lastly, I think that ships that are destroyed with passengers and/or crew on board should give experience based on the casualties caused by destroying a ship. For example, a frigate is destroyed with 50 musketeers on board. It gives you the experience of the ship, plus the 50 musketeers. (Do units that die in a shipwreck grant experience?)
