Can the offender who started this be punished beyond a warning?
AnywY on topic of just wiki the civ. A lot pf people do and if you get one historical aspect wrong they ram down your throat.
Like try an Eastern or South Eastern Asian civ with a slight deviation from precision and tou might get 2 guys having a history lesson… guys this is about having a fun GAME not precise physics of horses and conversion science
That’s a ridiculous thing to ask when almost all units are dressed the same no matter the civ and architecture sets are all shared between several civs. You make me think of the “Oh, You Love X? Name Every Y” meme.
As the number of civilizations increases, the number of unique bonuses and technologies will decrease. Currently, almost all kinds of bonus options aren’t available. Maybe we take bonuses from civilizations and give them to the new ones. Examples:
Armenians loses extra projectile galley-line bonus, Croats will get it.
Goths loses infantry discount bonuses, Vlachs will get it.
Or new, regional and global units have to be invented. The latter option would be the most reasonable. Here is some idas:
I’m fine with leaving the “Slavs” civ as is (though i’d like to see its name changed to Rus but whatever) but I would like to see a Serbs civ and a Vlachs/Romanian civ (isn’t Slavic but slots in nicely here) ngl I think South Slavs are still kinda under-represented in the game; even the Bulgarians civ has some Turkic “Old Bulgarian” theme to it.
In my understanding, the Khitans are a Mongolic tribe. They simply created a dynasty on their own and became somewhat Sinicized. What we understand as Mongols (and in the game) was a confederation of many Mongolic tribes, including the Khitans, which arose as a ruling dynasty in China after the Khitans. Today, Daurs are the most closely related ethnic group to Khitans and they are considered to be a Mongolic tribe and they speak a Mongolic language. So I do not see much merit to having Mongols and Khitans as a civ. They are covered by the Mongols. To me it’s like splitting the Teutons into Bavarians, Swabians etc.
If you disagree with the above, that’s fine. If you want a Khitan civ that’s also fine. All power to you.
I think it’s important to mention that the Daur people switched to the Mongol language, they no longer speak Khitan. So, #### #### #### ######################
That’s already a big difference, enough to be a different civ in my opinion.
