-Standard Poll -Regarding Nomad being an entirely separate game mode that should not be inside the standard starts random script map queue. Among other suggestions - Standard Poll -

Thus if they took it from game mode to just a map type, clearly they viewed that as an improvement, by the logic of your argument. Therefore by your own logic, nomad is where it should be.

Really? Source please. I see game modes dropped from otbef games all the time

False.

47/249 = 19%. Learn to math

Fine, I’m emotional and suck at math.

I have something important to take care of, talk later.

Firstly, that’s not what bugs are.

Secondly, the thing about Villagers spawning inside trees is just something you made up. If there was really a risk of that happening, it would happen with normal starts too, since Villagers and straggler trees can spawn the same distance from your Town Centre.

Thirdly, the devs who write the random map scripts are very good at reusing code rather than rewriting similar code for each script. Megarandom reuses essentially the same code for nomad starts for each of its (50-ish) different possible layouts. Adding nomad starts to the other map scripts wouldn’t be much different from implementing nomad starts to Megarandom, which they’ve already done.

Not much different isn’t exactly the same.
Furthermore the other reason even if that one isn’t the reason is that it doesn’t make sense on all map types.

Those being ‘possible reasons’ arguments as to why it was implemented the way it is currently on a map to map basis. The other argument, which is a separate argument, is that nomad is a different game mode than the standard start that most random map scripts hold regardless of setting.

Which again is opinion and not fact.

Every other game mode in the game modifies either the starting age or victory condition.

Nomad modifies neither.

Neither does empire wars with a dark age start, and I classify that as a different game mode.

Same with a dark age start Death Match.

If starting resources being increased dramatically is enough to be considered a different game mode, then starting without a tc and scout as well as, in age 2’s case, separate villager locations, or even if they appear in the same area with resources abundantly around, most certainly is a different game mode.

Neither of those are part of the “standard start” for those game modes.

You play deathmatch as post imp start and empire wars as feudal start.

@moderators should close this because topic loops at the same direction with bias information and multiple clear counter arguements the Post holder seems to ignore to their own bias and before this spirals out of control it should be closed

The poll and topic remains for a month.

No need for because we gave you alot of counter points and arguments but you seem to just dismiss them because they are opinion and not comfort your bias against nomad

Those are their ‘ranked queue’ standards that they’re forced into - however now that game modes such as death match have returned to a ranked lobby system the ‘standard’ of death match is as variable as it ought to be.

How about you stop trying to cut a perfectly good conversation short.

Well we had a good conversation to the point were you bias took over all logical counterarguments

Alright then, play that game.

This is not a conversation tbh

It’s as close as it gets with two conflicting sides that vehemently disagree.

What puts me off atm is that I’ve proved their points wrong as well as proved their points that say what I say is false as false in themselves, and yet they ignore it all and keep digging, only for Atafas to go and try to shut down the topic alltogether ‘rage quitting’ so to speak.

Tell me one time we tryd to prove you wrong but ignored your argument?

We counter claimed your arguments and your bias opinion

And the widely accepted default starting settings.

And post imp start is still tge mass majority of how people play
