onager-moves fast enough for a heavy unit, and shoots fast enough for a lot of charging units, Leitis does not know what armor is, hits full damage, trebuchet shoots too often, so if you don’t have them yet, there is very little chance of survival, Coustiller attack is too high, maximum +15-20 should be, scorpions shoot too often, with a large number it is very difficult to approach them
without paladin’s research, it will be closed
0.6 movement speed. that’s incredibly slow.
only if you’re attacking ground, otherwise you’re gonna miss, and even then they have a long reload time (6 seconds). it also has a huge cost associated (160 wood, 135 gold, 46 second build time) with it and is easily sniped by cavalry.
and the trade off is being made at a castle, a civ with a weak economy, it has low armor itself and it doesn’t actually do extra damage to siege rams like other melee units do. furthermore, we rarely see Leitis these days. food for thought.
trebs also require a castle, being in imperial age, and cost 200 wood and gold. also. shoots too often? its literally a 10 second reload.
literally just got nerfed, and their attack really isn’t that high outside of their charge, being 8 and 11, which means they are entirely reliant on their charge to do damage. furthermore they lack bloodlines.
3.6 attack speed, and i rarely see mass scorpion as an actual composition that works at the highest level.
and this makes zero sense. research the paladin tech and as a reward you unlock an extra heavy cavalry unit at the castle to make. it doesn’t help the “many weaknesses” you believe franks have, it certainly doesn’t help balance. this is purely a flavor thing and it ends up meaning the entire civ would have to be rebalanced.
So you say that we need a different paladin skin for Franks despite the fact the paladin model literally has the fleur de lys on it? And why just “pseudo-UU”? I bet people who want unit skins will be so triggered that say, Malian swords get a skin but not Eth ones.
The paladin has the new Orleans saints symbol on it. Not the fleur-de-lis… (this is a joke guys)
thanks for reminding me why i dont bother engaging when you say anything… back to the block list you go mr “ive always got something better to say”
Lithuanian have worse economy than most? I mean they are not great, but they don’t hace a Bad economy.
Also the extra food at the start of the game is very strong for their playstyle, they can age up a little faster and with the faster monastery they have and edge to get relics, and that is also an económic plus
they have nothing besides the early food. yeah they get off to a great early start, but compare to what other civs get later in the game? nothing.
and yet what do they have for long term eco bonuses? also that extra food may help them get to feudal faster but they certainly aren’t going to be that advantaged getting to castle age.
in RBW3 Lithuanians don’t start with extra food in Empire Wars anymore. how often did you see Lithuanians? in RBW2 we saw them all the time. in 3 we saw them twice. both losses.
there eco post feudal start is completely generic. and in a game where the best civs all have some sort of eco bonus holding them up…
Just to clarify, i’m not saying they should remove the extra food or nerf it. I’m just saying that is very strong bonus for them and their playstyle… what You saying about RBW supports it. Either way i will not discuss something that is not standard settings and RBW is not.
The +150f are still very important un feudal age, You can use them to fc or to traín more scouts or get a extra upgrade… thats also a plus against most civs. But what liths would do depend on the game
my point was that while yes, the +150 is very important in the early game, it is literally the only thing holding them up. without it they become so bad that they are pretty much not used, and that bonus is used up fast and has minimal long term effect, especially compared to some of the bonuses you see on other civs.
it helps them get off to a better start, but the long term effects are minimal, and by the time you are in castle age you’re pretty much inferior to everyone else and relying on your stronger unit (knights with extra attack, faster trash) to carry you.
As a lovely Nurgle’s workshiper, this offends me
