I said just create another topic to discuss if civs should be added or not instead of going to every discussion and saying same thing again and again… its not like i told him to shut up
You have casual players and competitive players, both playing multiplayers game. So i have no idea why you think i am only care about the competitive ones.
I have said i am not talking for either side. I am talking on behalf of my own.
Vandals!
Maybe Tibetans, Finns, Swiss, Dutch…
Telling him to make his own discussion and stop giving his opinion in other threads is telling him to shut up, lol.
If people weren’t allowed to give their opinion without making their own thread there would be no forum. The whole point of a forum is to discuss subjects and share opinions.
Vandals would seem cool, don’t get me wrong - but wouldn’t they just be the predecessor/aoe1 version of southern Poles or to be more precise, Silesians? Comparable to in-game Celts or Goths in this regard?
Especially since they ceased existing shortly after their attempts to establish further empires in North-africa/Hispania.
They might have occupied the same area as the Sicilians (I think thTs what you meant), but they were a nomadic / naval civilization that allied with the Berbers to take North Africa from the byzantines… I think it would be really cool and unique and id like to see more stuff like that. They were a germanic tribe similar to the goths but fairly different because their paths didn’t really cross.
That being said, the huscarl unique unit truly belongs with the saxons, but im guessing that ship has long sailed. would like to see a civ that was historically like the Goths be portrayed correctly.
It feels like esemble studios really mish mashed their history books to create some of the things they did back in 99.
Not quite, afaik they originated in southern Poland (przeworsk culture).
To be fair, most Tai people (including the Siamese and the Shan in the Burmese campaign) were calling themselves Tai and each of their separate territories as Muang Tai (Tai country/city). Siam is simply an exonym.
In any case, the civ need not represent all Tai peoples, maybe just southwestern Tai like Sukhothai, Ayutthaya, Lan Na, Lan Xang, Shan states, Sipsongpanna, Ahom, etc.
We still refer ourselves to Tai but after thinking about it, it should be heavily based on Ayutthaya much like the Slavs being modeled after the Rus.
I posted something earlier, didn’t get any hits but it would be cool if there was a civilization that had a unique siege ship unit that could ram, a ship that could build seal walls, gates and a trade cog that could defend itself. It’d be interesting if they could also make a civ that can garrison more units.
Perhaps vandals can represent poland too like how normans are represented in sicilians.
you dont want new civs because they remain op and you need long time to adopt to them, casuals dont care about that… also i rarely touch multiplayer , when i want to play multiplayer i play with friends… and there are many people like me and ur ignoring them
Lol im not directly telling him to shut up and you can make anything out of my words… anyways im not taking this further cause it going off topic , i dont care whatever u think… i just hope devs dont take your selfish demands and continue adding new civs
Except the new civs turned out to be bottom tier, so the devs had to buff them…
Competitive player can easily adopt, but casuals dont have the skills to adopt. In my opinion casual players have more issues with learning the new civs. So new civs are even worse for casual players.
I would love more civs
Hopefully its some hardcoded thing that can be changed, i would hate to see such a cap limiting creativity and encouraging umbrella civs
Personally, i would love to see the following DLCs (assuming only 9 civs)
Maritime Monarchs (an expansion focused on the civs of the maritime silk road)
Tamils
Swahili
Somalia
An india expansion:
a civ to represent the deccan region
Oriya
a civ to represent the hindu north (its a common assumption that the south was hindu and the north wasn’t, but that simply isn’t true for the most part)
Lords of a Lost kingdom:
Siamese
Zimbabweans
Songhai or Nubians
IF they remove the limit, then it would be nice to have some New World expansions as well as adding more civs to africa, india, and other underrepresented areas of the world
I don’t think they add civilizations based on purely population factors
As long as rhey have a large area pf influence or a ton of power, are longlasting (or extremely influential) and cannot be represented by another civ adding any new civ is fair game.
The final 9 civs i want given new dlc civs are bohemians and georgians :
Congolese
Kanem Bornu
Bengals
Tamils
Tibetans
pueblo
mapuche
Swiss
Wallachians
if Georgians are not added in next dlc then my last 2 choices would be :
Armenians
Georgians
To add one more point they should have interaction with minimum two or more ingame civilizations during the game period or else people start suggesting isolated groups.
Come to think of it we can pretty much represent every civi with a ingame civi.
