I want new civs. DLC without new civs would be pointless - besides, in this series every DLC = new civs.
Now it’s time for 4 new civs: Poles, Czechs, Serbo-Croatians and Romanians!

Well, we need to wait to see what we gonna get. I think devs wouldn’t release a new DLC without new civs, but even if we are getting only new campaigns I’m gonna buy it 11

I also want new European civs for AoE 3. At least now people will get African civs so they will focus on other regions of the world.
The African DLC has said it is due for this year, so the next DLC would not be until the following year.
Maybe there will be a European DLC after the African DLC?

If only 2 new civs, I have huge hope for Bohemians and Poles. I highly disagree with idea adding the Wends ( Western Slavs umbrella ). It would be something like removing Greeks in AoE I and made Romans and Greeks one civ. But back to the topic. For Bohemians I hope for War Wagons and for Poles Winged Hussar or Panzerny ( heavy melee cav )

So dukes from eastern europe… so it may be bohemians, poles, wallachia, serbia, kiev, moscovy (of course not every one of them)… will wait and see
Its not similar at all. Its quite a bit better than representing Macedonians with Greeks
(Also not worth adding both civs personally when they are already partly represented by multiple civs)
Well Greeks ( and Etruscans ) had from the beging huge impact on Roman civilization. Even when Romans conquered Greek lands, the Greeks conquered Rome with their culture. But anyways It was just an example, not to be taken too much seriously.
Well, developers choose new civilizations, not us. Everyone has diffrent opinion and everyone would add civ(s) which he/she would like to see in game. Just ideas.
I said it before in other topics but I really think Vlachs, Romanians are too much of a stretch for viable medieval civ even with lowered criteria.

People have their points. You can argue they deserve to be in the game, but no more than other civs. As I always say,
We’re not getting an infinite amount of civs. Every civ that makes it into the game left another one out.

Lol, never will happen. The game is already balanced around all the core units it has, just look at the Steppe Lancer to see what adding a new unit will inevitably devolve into.
Current Slavs civ is using the coat of arms of Grand Prince Yaroslav the Wise of Kyyiv, so I doubt there’ll be any other Ruthenian civs added.
Spirit of the Law mentioned there’ll be 2 new civs; guessing Poles are a no-brainer, and with the theme being “Dukes”, I think either Bohemia or Croatia is likely the second spot. “Duke” is a term that was used in Catholic Europe (Orthodox states mostly used “Prince”), so the emergence of thes kingdoms on the outskirts of the Caroligian Empire would be a common theme for the new civs.
Or they could use the second spot for Austria or Bavaria, just to make sure no one is happy.

The new civs did not introuce any new core units. And the 2 new UUs are basically useless.
Macedonians are greeks just like spartans, athenians, thibans and epirots. Study history.
Macedonians were considered much more barbaric by the other greeks and werent as related as the other city states (and also had some major cultural diferences). Also dont act like an asshole
