With the loosening of restrictions for adding new Gods/ Civilizations in today’s patch, do you think they are winding down AoM? Are they doing this knowing they themselves aren’t planning to add any more content to the game? ![]()
Very likely for the rest of the year no more civs, as the team is going back to aoe3. Maybe next year.
AoMR being the only game in the franchise I play, is it normal for other titles to go on ‘hiatus’ for a few months and have a DLC drop months down the line? Is the way AoMR was paced out typical of other Age titles?

That’s an average gaps between announcements/ releases was 66 days. Were we just spoilt with retold? They really did pump this content out quickly! It’s only been 66 days since the last release, and there have been some big patches since then, but I hope they haven’t lost momentum ![]()
Meanwhile AoE I killed and AoE III put on maintenance service.
Is there an update coming for AoE III? I haven’t seen an annoucement
Nothing has been announced. However, in the thread below, users monitor the activities seen on SteamDB. Since months, there has been at least one update in the update history for almost every weekday.
Therefore, an update is possibly in the works, but no official statement at all yet. Hopefully, there will be clarity soon.
Return of Rome is AoE I now, which is still alive…-ish…
