What was done to Yucatan is terrible! I will not describe the disadvantages. Do any of you have the RMS File of old Yucatan? Somewhere in the 2024 version. I found the old version from 2016 (in github), but it’s a little different and it feels wrong. Help me find the 2022-2024 version.
To the developers: bring back the old Yucatan! Or make it possible to include a new or old version on the official level, what is now an ugliness!
By “the old yucatan” do you mean before the asteroid hit the ground ?

Here he is.
Just delete the “.txt” and you will have OLD_Yukatan.rms. Put it here

Since you alerted us, I’ve now copied the old AoE2:HD version over to my DE folder so I can play it if/when desired from the Custom maps area.
I’m not sure what it used to look like in DE, but if it was the HD map or similar, then there are a number of changes. Some are neat, like weathered stone brick terrain in places and some other environmental features, but the map seems way too cluttered now, imo
Possibly a ton more animal food available near TC and all over the map(?), along with maybe a lot more gold/stone, as well, and too many tree clusters (not enough open areas) making the map feel claustrophobic compared to the old HD version.
And llamas are way too talkative, lol
