The weathering effect of buildings disappears in the desert map

  • Game Version: Premium

  • Build Number: v.100.19.3090.0 (592914R)

  • Platform: Steam

  • Operating System: Windows 11

Issue:

Even though the weathering effect for buildings is enabled in the graphic settings, it still doesn’t display correctly on desert maps for all pantheons.

It is most likely a design feature: the sand roads do not have any weathering layer enabled.

No, this isn’t a design feature. The building does show a weathering effect in the unplaced preview, but this effect doesn’t appear after the building is actually constructed. Furthermore, the issue is that the building doesn’t show a weathering effect when placed on any sandy surface, not that it doesn’t show the effect on sandy roads as you stated. This conclusion is based on my experiments on many maps and different locations.

This bug still exists even after the newest patch.

What must be displayed in desert map?

Previously another user had investigated and made mods on these issues @Mani.

The buildings should be like this on the sandy ground.

The building’s surface is covered with sand in the preview state, but the effect disappears once the building is completed.

In the Aztec version, this effect displays correctly on the new maps, but it still does not display correctly on the older desert maps.

Even though I don’t think this is a difficult problem to fix, the developers still haven’t fixed it in the latest patch.

Still no fixed after Update 19.12998.
