I want to see Armenia and Georgia too, but not right now, to be honest. I’m just getting started on a Caucasus mod, and it would be a shame if they got officially added before the mod was done.

Last years roadmap hinted at some DOI-esque dlc (so not ROR) and given the April hint about changes coming to Persians l, and now with a new DLC basically leaked, I think it’s most likely we’ll get some persian rework/persian adjacent DLC.
IDK if Persia will get the full Indians treatment and get split per se, or just re-worked with Persia adjacent civs added. It might just come down to semantics.
All that aside, I agree, I assume it’s some Persia dlc.

I’m also throwing my hat in the ring for it being a Middle East + Caucuses DLC.
The timing for this and a full rework for Persians is too tight.
What I would like to see and think is likely:
- Georgians added
- The heralded Persian rework (not a split)
- Persian campaign. Honestly just take the Apranik one and tweak it, it’s fantastic already
- Saracens get re-named to something more specific
Not sure who else really. Armenians get asked for a lot, but they drop off a bit during the Middle Ages compared to their height in Antiquity. Sogdians would be cool, but their history is quite scattered.

Devs announced changes to Persians in April. It’s been about four months. If they wanted to make major changes and release with doc I think there’s been enough time

Split Franks in Carolingians and Merovingians.
Add French, as French didn’t use Axethrowers. Split them in Carolingian and Capetians
Split Teutons in Carolingian, Ottonians, Salians, Hohenstaufen and Habsburg.
Split British into WestSaxons, Blois (and the stupid amount of dynasties they had)
Split Western Romans into Theodosians and (whatever the cluster f… they had until 486)
Split Eastern Romans into Theodosians, Isaurians, Justinians, Komnenos, Paleologos and, and, and…

I think that whenever the Georgians get added, that it should be in a specific Caucasus-themed expansion, not tacked on to another themed DLC. Of course, I’m only saying that because I’m working on a mod that is that very concept.
They drop off, yes, but they still had a period in the Middle Ages where they were powerful. Look up the Bagratid Dynasty.
