Thread dedicated to feedback on the new update

Yes, I was just thinking about this! Many of the old revolutions need to be remade - the Canadians and the Peruvians have been reworked extensively already (and of course the Mexican and US Revolts as well). I think Haiti is in a nice spot too. But that only makes the age of the other revolutions show more. Playing around with Poles, I was amazed at how in depth the Cossack Hetmanate Revolution is - and yes, the German one is even crazier. I’d love something like that for Argentina, Brazil, Gran Colombia and Chile (the ones I think feel the oldest). Maybe we should make a thread dedicated to these ideas

I would like if the Danes got a single Unique Unit, all guards is fine but just something please. Also could the Ski Infantry ski well moving.

As for the new Minor Natives it would be nice to see the Arawak for South America, Haida for the Pacific Coast, there armor looks incredible.

add “Auld Alliance” cart that allies France to Stewards

For Europe i think the major house that is missing is Medici having several Popes, a Queen of France and one of the largest banks in Europe at the time.

This has been suggested to the developers so many times that I have lost hope, but if you want to try making a theme specifically for this, go ahead, you’ve got nothing to lose by trying.

Devs has all European civs join the new sapper unit Grenadier musketeer characer rigging the charged is throwing a grenade and Scot grey unique unit is rework

I agree about the Cossack rev civ - it is fantastic.

It is sooooo on point with the Zaporozhian Cossacks - covering the namesake Cossack Hetmanate and the the Zaporozhian Sich.

Does balance team play Aztec?

Continuous nerfed for more than 5 patches for almost every unit. Don’t like this civ then just delete it.

I actually don’t like the way they try to implement Meiji Restoration, at least the stable units… They should get unique units, it also deletes all the card effects you had for cav as Maiji Dragoons get back to 2x vs artillery, so what were upgrade cards even good for?

Italians got a nerf for the only decent merc shipment… and nothing to fix either the economy nor merc guarantees for a supposeldy merc centric civ. Atleast the Pavisier may now be more reasonable… except i still need to go with a specific age up to get imperial ones.

TLDR: Lombards still suck.

Also, Russian Army Reforms should actually be reforms, replacing the recruit with northern musks.

They already did it a while ago.

They could rework some, not many, because that aspect has already been improved.

I agree, though as much as Haiti are fine, they do not fit as a British rev

I agree, they should give it to Poles. Maybe give Brits a unique revolt, like the Irish or the Jacobites

We need the Boxer Rebellion.

Pikeman

Tiger Warrior

Manchu Horse Archer

Yep, a Jacobite Uprising, Irish and even Pirate Republic would all be neat rev choices.

Another option, if we take Canada as an example (becoming a self governing dominion rather than actual revolt), could be New South Wales. NSW was self-governing mid 19th century, took part in a fair bit of warfare including overseas and then amalgamated in 1901 (still the Victorian era) as part of federal Australia (could even be reflected in another Revolution to Australia).

Would give some fun shipments - ‘Great Emu War’ (shipment of Emus), and 'Ned Kelly’s Gang’s (shipment of armoured Bushrangers, which enable them them in taverns)

Excuse me, is it just me, or do all Danish and Polish military units have “Guard” variants? I recently played as the Danes and Poles in the beta and noticed that all the military units from the barracks and stables have Guard versions; these replace standard units like crossbowmen, pikemen, musketeers, skirmishers, hussars, dragoons, and horse archers. If my hunch is correct, it would mean the developers plan to apply this same formula to all the other civilizations. This would finally give every European and American faction unique units upon reaching the Industrial Age. To me, that would be spectacular—truly worthy of a standing ovation—provided, of course, that this theory turns out to be true.

Just the Eureka Rebellion is enough of a justification for an Australia revolt.

The Danes do, it’s part of their unique bonus. The Poles technically don’t, although they have two more than most other civs (4 compared to two), and can unlock one for the xbow. Funnily enough the only unit without royal guard (except for arty) is the Winged Hussar lmao

Would be a great revolt-like card for the Chinese. Disable vills and replace them with Boxers at the TC.

Do you think it would be a good idea to add a card to the Livonia revolution that replaces Pikemen with *Ranseurs* and Dragoons with *Cranequiniers*? I ask because those are the only two units that cannot be upgraded during this revolution, and it feels a bit odd that they remain unchanged when playing as Livonia. The Home City card could be called “Teutonic Anti-Cavalry.”

Teutonic Anti-Cavalry:
It replaces standard pikemen and dragoons with *Ranseurs* and *Cranequiniers*.

Ranseurs

Cranequiniers

They added Crainequiers as mercs in this very update so I can def see this happening

Even so, I find it quite unusual for the Poles to have so many Guard units, given that the standard maximum is two or three Guard units per civilization.
