Tropics need more DLC

Now that 5 civs have been added to East Asia, Europe and East Asia have become very well represented.

Next DLC needs to move back to America, Africa and Indosphere. These areas have many possible significant civs that are missing. Would be amazing if we get 3 Tropical DLCs with 5 civilizations each to complete them. Above map is from Reddit only for representational purpose. I don’t mean we should limit ourselves to these civs only.

East Asia DLC also fleshed out the China type vegetation. Making more options for Temperate terrains.

Tropics also requires more variations for vegetation. We lack in Banana Plantations, Capibara, Tigers, Gorilla, Orangutan, Tapir, Mango Grooves, Banyan Trees, Aligators, Giraffes, Hippos, Black Panthers and Peacocks and so much more.

Oceania civs would be cool too, but only if they come with a new architecture set.

Yes Indonesian region also. This is what I mean by Indosphere

Honestly for Africa, while yes there is a bunch of stuff in the Sahel/Horn of Africa area to use, I personally hope that the next Africa DLC is Kongo and Swahilis, before they move back up to the Sahel area, so yes I agree.

For the Americas I mainly hope for Mississippians (which aren’t really tropical) Purepecha (Tarascans, on your map) and Tlaxcalans (sure they’re Nahua and they weren’t geographically large, but they still played a massive role in Mesoamerica, and I think they deserve a spot)

Zapotecs, Mixtecs, and Chimu are also intriguing shouts, but are lower on the priority list than the first three IMO.

I agree, i would add to that, that i’d wish to see more South American civs too. Since we only have Inca’s there.
And atleast Mississipians for northern america

Sure, let’s just add a bunch of islands in the middle of nowhere and pretend they could actually fight anyone! /s

Muiscas, with Guecha Warriors as their UUs, and maybe Tupis, with Blackwood Archers (a reference to AOE3), in a South American DLC would be awesome :slightly_smiling_face:

I am a pro new civs and pro diverse civs advocate. So having tribes is not a deal breaker for me.
You can keep your politics of name calling to yourself.

Bought a new book Chronicle of Sipsongpanna and it’s pretty much Tai Lue vs. Burma and China. Being Northern Thai and Tai Lue is depressing but also cool.

I am praying one of the 2 unrevealed civs within this East Asia DLC is Siamese. It’s been a long wait.

I will fucking scream if it is but Dali would be alright with me too since it is LOWKEY similar. I’m also praying for Mon.

Mon is a difficult bet. Its inclusion will be incredible.

Toungoo - Pegu (Bayinnaung) struggle will be much better depicted if it becomes reality.

Current Burmese civ is really Meitei in its depiction. Even the new castle (if it is Burmese as everyone is predicting) tends to steer towards Manipuri style more. It looks a lot more closer to Kangla Fort than Mandalay Palace.

You missed hippos black panthers and peacocks.

Yes there’s a lot of stuff to add from the tropics.

If you look at it in a more realistic way and follow the DLC trend new civis plus missing civi gets a campaign only american dlc is most likely.Mayan campaign and 2 meso civis.

Japan korea campaigns might be included with the chinese dlc or else there are no factions around them to make own dlcs.

Europe is anyways full even tho vikings romans dont have campaigns yet.
