By fighting the Umayyads, they prevented the spread of Islam to Central Asia.

Kyrgyzs
It is the first Turkish state to come under Mongolian rule.
The longest epic “Manas” belongs to this state.

Cores
In the Talas War, they defeated China by taking sides with the Abbasids.

Oddly, Khazar Turks adopted Judaism as official religion, not Christ or Islam, and tolerated others. Some Turks chose Christianity. I believe ethinc and religious tolerance or neutrality is a trait shared by all Turkish states in history, including Seljuk and Ottoman Empires. This could be developed into a AoE IV civ characteristic.

Ghaznavids are missing. This Turkish empire was the first state ever built around the design of controlling, streamlining, and taxing Silk Road routes.
