Of course, in fact I think that the next expansion will be of the Persian Gulf and they will say “did you want Persians?” well there they have Persians and Omanis xd…
Well, the Persians would use architecture and various units such as camels (the zamburaks) and elephants of the Indians…
Well, then they will put them soon or in 2039 xd…
I’d like a DLC that adds one former colony and one playable native, or it could add two of either, as long as both are from South America. Along with more minor civs, of course.
I think the middle east should be a two-civ DLC with more minor civs as well.
“Would” or “could”?
Zamburaks are Persian so I’d hope they would use them.
Elephants don’t really make sense for them though.
I think Indians should be split. Maybe the Zamburaks can be taken away from them if/when that happens.
Zamburaks make sense for a Mughal faction, but I think they could be buffed and moved to Age 3 like other Dragoons. Howdahs could be removed from Mughals and be the Dragoon unit for other Indian civs like Mysore and Maratha.
Talking about Dragoons, it never made sense to me that AoE3 Indians don’t get horses (same with AoE2 Indians not getting Knights). I really wish they would have changed that by now.
It would make more sense if Sowars were horse cavalry and Caravansarais were just called Stables (Caravansarias could be a Tavern equivalent instead). They could even keep the old camel unit as a Rajput camelry mercenary.
It would be more accurate to call the current “Rajput” unit a Pata or Pata Swordsman so a new Rajput mercenary would not conflict. The current “Rajput” unit is also pretty inaccurate. The patas they are armed with are more of a Maratha weapon but the Indians are mainly based on the Mughals who would have had Shamsherbaz as their swordmen.
That would still mean Persia didn’t come first
Unless, for some reason, you think Sumeria and Persia are the same
In fact it is only “The Forgotten”, which would be the civs that were “forgotten” in the inkwell of ES as Italians, Incas, Magyars, Slavs, etc etc etc…
Yes, I think that the next dlc will be Middle East (Persia and Oman), then South America (Brazil and Argentina or Mapuches and Tupies), then South Africa (Kongo and Zulus), then Southeast Asia (Burma and Siam) and finally Oceania (Maori and Hawaii) and in between go putting dlc of singular civs, eg: Poles, Danes, Tartars, Afghans, Koreans, etc etc etc to fill the gaps that remain…
Maybe it’s a civ focused on camels and elephants like the Indians and also on artillery like the Ottomans…
totally agree! btw i’m also wondering why Malta couuld be a playable civ…
It is more because of the nostalgia of the campaign, in addition there are not so many civs of the Mediterranean during the period of aoe 3…Spain and France are already from the beginning of the game, Greece gives more for a revolution and Morocco, like Portugal, are more of the Atlantic, more than the Mediterranean…
They’re such a disappointing pick. Poland, Prussia, or Denmark would have been more appropriate for a European themed expansion.
And it doesn’t only detract from those civs being included. The Knights Hospitaller would have been an excellent religious settlement. They could have appeared on basically every single European map. That would would be a much more appropriate way to add them and still scratch the nostalgia itch of most players.
agree. they shouldn’t be used for making just minor civs. I still hope they will be made to be playable civs in the future.
Although Maltese is an inappropriate selection, assuming that surprisingly it sold good and it made the game more popular.
Imagine if a DLC with Poles and Danes arrive, It would be super successful. No doubt of it!
Yes, I think the same…I thought they were going to put Italians and Poles, but the Maltese as thematic dlc of the Mediterranean is very good too, then in the next dlc that is possibly from the Baltic we have Denmark and Poland…
