Video of Beasty CRITICIZING a part of the HARMFUL community

This is the “fuck you” you keep getting from devs. Wasting over 10 or 20 mins of your time. Caz some dude had bad start you all now have to gtfo.

Wasted an entire hour: First match a random teammate left caz a few tropes reached near his base. Second sync error. The game isn’t playable for a casual player.

I am sure people are using wall hack and zoom hack along it. They can also drop from match making queue caz they did not like a map.

Oh maybe you only play 1v1 so you never faced such issues.

I wish the good players could do a team game against the toxic ones and settle it once and for all. My guess is the toxic players are Bronze and the supportive are plat. It’d be a bloodbath :joy: and I hope the toxic ones lose to tower rush too

I can’t believe it, just such a little update is called a quarterly update, I’m so disappointed with aoe4

Agree on people moaning way too much about everything since months. However, I have to say that the recent patch really is a disaster. They are nerfing the only option to end games in feudal which is a huge blow to a strategy game. Im quite sure that like the mangonel nerf they will at one point take it back and give back some strength to the ram as with wololo there’s soon going to be big tournament and it would highly surprise me if players there weren’t annoyed by that change. Keep in mind that going for rams (only option to end a match in feudal) was already quite risky, now it’s going to be obsolete.

The sad thing is that even if they partially reverse this change it really lets you see deep because the developers either are completely overwhelmed with balancing this game out or they simply want to get rid of any dark and feudal aggression/pushes/wins/defeats. Why not start with castle age in the first place then with 5+ more villagers? There’s not really a big difference anymore. Anyone can memorize a build order to grow economically. Its just getting super dull.

expected from a balance team that decide to nerf to the ground the horsemen in earlier patches because one of them lose against mass horsemen in one match.

How much did you pay for the game?
How much time did you spend on complaining about the game?
What is the minimal wage in your country?

I’m pretty sure if you just got a job you would easily have made the money back in the time you spend complaining about it online.

There are hundreds of games made all the time, most of them are bad. So there are many chances to waste money on the wrong game.
But most people just accept that they made a bad purchase and move on with their lives.
In a world were Fortnight is the most popular game you have to accept that there are people with different tastes out there. And not every game has to be made for you, even if it’s a successor to your favourite game.

And I don’t think the developers or publishers feel very motivated to give you the game you want if you keep insulting them.

I blocked this person weeks ago because there comes a point where arguing, explaining, or engaging in any meaningful way becomes “Casting pearls before swine” and in this case, well…it is a minecraft pig profile picture…almost prophetic really

wow… No matter how much you gain but the product that you get from it.

yup and that’s why they are triggered and want a change or refund.

But dev wanted this one to cather every aoe, wc and sc2 audience. Thats why some of them resemble a bit in the feedback of some pro player and the dev themselves.

but well reserved for the incomplete game that they should already know the consecuences by the aoeo fiasco.

There is a quite huge chance that they will stop developing it after wolololo tournament. The greatest problem with all this negativity is that people won’t watch and play the game. So there is no reason to put money into tournaments because there is 0 advertisement value in it. As we see how the “world economy” and life itself go, we should be happy that we even have game tournaments.

We can all agree that the game was launched with a lot of mistakes from the developers side and they have been trying to fix those mistakes, and it shows!

Sure is it still some issues left, absolutely but people don’t realize that the constant negativity and hate towards the game & the team behind AoEIV is going to damage the game even further and that’s really unnesessary. By all means provide constructive feedback, they have proved that they listen to that but can we please stop with the nonsense talk that the game is dead and what not?

In the end it WILL turn out to be that, thanks to you all who constantly bring the game down and the community with you! Don’t like the game? Come back later at another time, or take a small break and play other games or just quit altogether but please don’t bring your negativity to the forums 24/7 as that will damage our fun in the long run who chose to stay with this game.

yeah sadly that happened…

Yeah and grubby as well. Wake up dude, there are problems stop calling people out for wanting their money’s worth. if you don’t like the posts don’t click on them. if you don’t want questions on your live stream, don’t open it up for questions. You are making money weather you answer or not answer the question. If you don’t want questions shut it down.

If there is a problem, then the forums will get lit and the you tube videos will get negative comments. Should have could have thought of that when you charged premium for half a game.

To all those saying no problem, yeah why you come and post here then? There’s no problem why make video’s? Isn’t this the same guy that malded about losing to a bug in this same game? And then complained online? that was ok? when he feels like he’s wronged it’s ok?

The forums are owned by the company that put this game out, people paid them, they have the right to post their issues to the developer.

Beasty runs an online channel and makes money off of videos and people live watching them, if he doesn’t want questions he has options. That being said maybe he should reflect on how he acted and then reflect on maybe that’s what’s going on with the rest of these people, they feel cheated. They have the right to complain any way they want. if it bothers you then don’t allow questions on your streams.

Blaming the community is the stupid thing someone could do, if the game is not good then community will react accordingly, I remember back in the day, people were saying that DOW failure was community fault lol… Suddenly pros are worries because none is playing their game ha!,

The behavior of the community before a game in a delicate situation (AoE4 is a good game for many, but it is still incomplete and the devs take a long time to fix the problems) is key to whether or not it is the last piece of land to end up burying it completely.

It’s okay to demand and give feedback to help make the game better, but there’s a difference between that and reprehensible behavior. Almost all of us have paid here and there are some who behave inappropriately and others who don’t.

I disagree with Beasty that the community is primarily responsible for the game being in this state, but I also disagree with those who say the community is not to blame.

I think that DOW3 (main responsibility of the devs clearly) could have improved, but the strong rejection of the community was perhaps that “last piece of land” that has made Relic decide that there is no way to overcome the state of the game due to the destructive opinions overshadowing constructive ones. Here we are at the limit of that, fortunately there is still maintenance of the game, we will see if they continue or not in the following years.

I think the reason the game is losing players is because it is just very bland. Haven’t played for like 2 months so maybe things have changed, but I found it a little boring, my main complaint is the balance it needs a better counter system. I didn’t stop playing because of people in the community complaining, I stopped because I wasn’t having as much fun as I wanted to and went back to aoe 3

12 complainers in the lesser used of the two official forums didn’t contribute to a game dropping from 70,000 players to fewer than [insert blasphemy here].

I played this game for a few months, like all of my friends did. We thought it could be a fun game if it kept getting fixed and slammed with more content, but it never did, so not one has gone back to even try out the latest patch.

The game MUST offer more than it is offering now if you want people to come back.

+100,000,000 lol points at Beasty for making more ad revenue off a lengthy thread commentary.

The community is the only one that can save the game, as happened in the case with Age2 that never died, because the community never left, it always stayed and it was one of the reasons why we have definitive versions of previous Age of Empires and that we have Age of Empires 4. We have to be aware, we can make this videogame reach its greatest splendor, but we don’t have to be a toxic community as in the case of other games.
