The voting period was way too short.
It was only up for like 3 days and then voting ended 2 days before the 11th.
The dates for the next vote should be annonced sooner ! so that people donât miss it !

Well, it all depends⊠I think Kawasan is worse than Four Lakes, and Mongolia is worse than Hideout. And these are exactly the compromise maps that are going to be played when the main preferences (open/closed/water) differ and are banned out by the opponent.
But in the end, this pool is never going to happen anyway, as it doesnât include Arabia.

No bans are âwastedâ. If you ban maps you donât like, you use your bans exactly as intended.

Theyâre wasted on entirely different game modes that belong to a different queue.

And their âstandardâ is wrong.
Any map type is fine - a different game mode is not.
Standard start 1 tc, 3 vils + civ bonuses, 1 normal/eagle scout be it walled or not regardless of if itâs surrounded by water or not closed or not, itâs fine.
Without the standard start is where you enter separate game mode territory.
The larger problem is that the voting period on the forums only lasted 3 days. And very few people actually had the chance to vote because of it.

âNomadâ is a game mode that has random map scripts built for it.
Mega random is a fun concept with a huge flaw in having the chance to become ânomadâ or a raging mess of animal scouts or double town centers.
Mega random could use some changes to mega randomize the map while standardizing the start then it would be a wonderful addition to the queue.
Nomad on the other hand belongs to either ranked lobbies, a separate queue or both.
Just because a different game mode is âpopularâ doesnât mean itâs in the right queue.
And if this was the actual fan consensus they would be clawing all over various forums asking for nomad game mode to be added. But gasp. Fans arenât doing that.
Just because you believe something doesnât make it true. How many people do you see asking for the nomad and megarandom game modes ro be added to separate lobbies?

Just refuting that something is the way it is doesnât make the argument any less valid.
Nomad would do well in the ranked lobby system, as will many other fun modes.
A chaotic second queue to replace empire wars containing all ranked non-standard lobby game modes would be a wonderful addition.

Really? Because we saw DM and Battle Royal do so well.
No it would lead to lots of complaining as people who want nomad or megarandom get empire wars, royal, and etc.
Keeping the system as it is is more then fine and clearly nomad being in the normal ranked lobbies has all sorts of support

Seeing as random users have chimed in from time to time in support, you may be ignoring that.
The custom ranked lobbies will be made more popular the more modes are added to them.
Users wanting just nomad or another mode will be happy to know ranked lobbies exist.
I mean real support. 4 or 5 people wanting something that is obviously the opinion of the mass minority is not aupport.
Or less popular because itâs completely random what mode you get and might not be what you want to play

Thereâs such a thing as a few speak up while most just read. 2 or 3 people speaking against has the same rule of thumb.
I donât see flocks of people speaking against it.
Mainly a small, yet vocal, minority.
As for what you want to play if you have a specific mode in mind and still want it to be ranked - the ranked lobbies would be there.
As far as Iâm aware there is no ranked lobby system. As for your claim itâs a different game mode, itâs not. If it were you could select it alongside DM or empire wars. You cannot pick Arabia and play it in Nomad game mode. You can pick Arabia and play it DM or EW.
Now you may want it to be a different game mode and I can see the argument for it, but that would require more recoding to allow it to be added to the game mode list. As it is, they are maps. Same why arena fortress hideout are not game modes, you could argue they should be and allow you to play with walls on any map. But theyâre not.
To be fair you almost get fortress as a game mode when you pick regicide game mode, you get a castle all that needs added is the walls.
