I was expecting simply a slight tweak of Andrew Jackson and Sheriff Holme… (I mean, the models are already there. Why not?)
I could do with Uncle Sam but the astronaut is too much.
Okay they added snowmen to aoe2. So I guess we can pretend they do not exist as they are time-limited. But I’d still prefer prioritizing historical stuff before going carnival mode.

They are fine as extra/ event/ fun skins, but the main selection should remain solely realistic and historical. US is a young nation and we have a lot of records about various people that were historically important for these colonies, states, US in general.

I’d actually like a moon map though. There was one in WoL. And we have already got a map with turkey scouts and a map with red-nosed reindeers and Christmas gift treasures long ago. As long as they are not included in regular map set.

I’m okay with Uncle Sam as a joke skin, but the astronaut one feels really out of place. It should be a cheat unit then.

Right. Make the astronaut an unlockable cheat unit (you’ve done this before) and put Andrew Jackson or Sheriff Holme as the explorer skin (not too much work). Can you imagine US without a wild west explorer skin?

Tokala/Dog soldier, a Cheyenne warrior, remains as the unit/model for the Lakota civilization instead of being swapped with the Cheyenne (whose unit would then become Lakota’s special unit with another name).
This hasn’t been addressed since TWC but we do have the time and effort to make an astronaut & Uncle Sam skin for the Explorer?
I hope this is not serious. 
I’m down for @ArrivedLeader22’s idea.

The thing about the Dog Soldier model and the Cheyenne Rider model that will never cease to amuse me is that a Tokala soldier would have had reason to wear a buffalo horn headdress anyway, but not the dark feather headdress a Dog Soldier wore, so the two units are actually great examples of historical warriors… but they’re swapped.
