I thinks the problem is that the game is difficult to know.
There are aot of civs, card, revolt, etc etc.
If you look at age4 is a easy age2. It is easy to learn how to play etc etc.
Age3 is very complex compared to age2 and age3.
To call more players it needs moneys on it.
Age4 is not so good as rts but there are money that are calling some pro players.
And it was a bit sponsorized.

More campaigns for the singleplayer fans.
More historical accuracy for the history buffs.
Maybe a world conquest mode like in some other RTS games (Empire Earth, CNC 3: Kane’s Wrath, 8-Bit Invasions).

Because requires too much work…you can recibe one or two campaigns for dlc…but in the middle you won’t recibe any type of single dlc or rework…
I know right? It seems like a no brainer at this point. They have maps for most regions of the planet. They could also have elements of international trade and colonization in the game mode as well. Like a lightweight grand strategy game.

Such a mode could even bring back the progression system where you gradually gain more powerful cards (the most hated feature for ranked pvps, but could work fantastically in a world map mode)

Better AI, better tutorials, fixing graphic bugs that have been reported endlessly, fixing the bugged ranked issue (for treaty it seems).

That’s a fantastic idea actually. A cool and replayable mode that would be perfectly feasible and built upon the foundations of aoe3 rather than repudiating them.
