The zouave is a tragedy. It used to be amazing. Losing counter infantry rifling made the unit uselss.
I LOVE the arsonist, because when I get those and I’m China, and all 3 siege upgrades go into effect, I hover my cursor over an enemy building and click attack and they delete that building in seconds, even forts. Outside of Chinese use, they’re not great.
The giant grenadier is cool, he is what all normal grenadiers should have been.
The mounted riflemen, I STRUGGLE to find a purpose for that unit. It just…I don’t know why I would use it lol.

I kinda agree with you about the leather cannon, especially when you take into considering that card that makes them cost on 2 population slots.
I have said this for a while but the Swedes need nerfed, hard. They should lose the ability to train jaegers and black riders at their normal military buildings, only keeping them at taverns, like ALL Europeans. They should also lose advanced arsenal by default. They should have to waste a card on it like everyone else.

I love the explorer and hate the explorer. I wish they were better. I once had my Chinese explorer take out a ton of musketeers, he was like the Terminator, shrugging off shots with his 3,000+ HP but then he got like volley shot by 2 imperial heavy cannons and that was it. I was so furious. They are let downs and man, their AI. I hate the Chinese explorer’s roundhouse kick, I wish it was a charged move like the Aztec skull knights have.
I love this post. Just the concept of it.
I actually despise AI Portugal. I once had an AI match, me as the Ottomans, my ally was the AI Dutch, and we were going against AI Spain and AI Portugal. Portugal refused to give in. I would just launch wave after wave of humbraci and janissaries and horse artillery and I would destroy everything only to miss 1 villager and turn my attention to Spain and suddenly, 30 dragoons just appear.
Dude, I feel that, I SUPER FEEL THAT.
I hate the upgrade that only the Africans and Europeans get that gives mercenaries an extra what, 50% attack and 50% defense? The upgrade really doesn’t say the percentage so I am guessing. Like, you ever fight those ultra heavy cavalry mercenaries? Like the Ottoman mameluke, who has at least 2,000HP with that mercenary upgrade. Or the sennar horseman, 1,700HP, 50ish attack. Or one of my particularly most hated once, the Swedish black rider. 700+ HP, 70+ damage, 7.25 movement speed.
Side now, how does the black rider move that fast…he is in full armor. He is heavy cavalry. Speed should be 6.25 at most.
Actually, my most hated unit is any unit that is entirely historically inaccurate, like a black rider moving at 7.25 movement speed!
It’s now the siege elephant, I know it’s countered by pretty much everything but it’s also a fortress age 2 in 1 culv/mortar. It completely cleans up defences from turtling, wrecks ships and it’s hard to get skirms or dragoons close when it’s protected by 30 sepoy.

The daimyo of the Japanese. Not the unit itself, but all they can do, plus there are 3 of them and they’re too cheap for what they do.
It is a unit that has no real weaknesses to be countered efficiently (Especially at NR or in late games). Japan Rework - #24 by OperaticShip743

And when you take into account that half of Portugal concept is just fiction it gets even better.
Dude, the daimyo are nonsense. Especially Shogun Tokugawa, I think he does like 300 damage per swing. I once, just to test, sent only him into a raid on villagers. It was insane, he was just one hitting them.
Honestly, the daimyo should be the explorers, not those two archers with bass so strong they make my PC shake. Idk why their voices are so deep. But no, it should be daimyo for the Japanese. Just like it should be a Qing bannerman for the Chinese instead of a Shaolin master, and a Mirza or whatever the Mughal title for prince is, for India.
If this was a post about most hated civ, I’d say India, because there’s no mosque. You should be able to build either a Hindu temple or a mosque, and you have to choose, and choosing one locks you out of some things. Like a mosque should give Mughal cavalry archers (real horses, not camels).

Yeah, but as soon as you thoughtfully think of a small buff to them they instantly say it´s OP
i already thought of some buffs but they say it´s OP, btw doppelsoldner is my second fav unit, that´s why it pains me that they do not buff them

I agree with you that the grenadiers are a disappointment. The new Giant Grenadier mercenary is what a grenadier SHOULD be. They have about 400HP, 80 siege, strong ranged attack, like 60+ and they have a bayonet, so they’re good against cavalry. I once got them as a random draw as Russia, and I think Ransack stacked but I know for a fact, I could just click and train Giant Grenadiers, and with the bayonet, there is no reason to keep halberdiers near them.
However, the Soldado, I think they’re the best infantry unit in the game, best non-mercenary for sure. They’re TOO STRONG. Really, it’s the like…what 660HP an Imperial fully leveled Soldado can get. The only infantry I like more is the Fusilier, the Dutch one gets 525HP, 110 ranged attack, 70 melee and like 90 siege, and they’re super fast, they’re ridiculously good.
So right there we just mentioned 2 units better than the base grenadier, so that doesn’t make the grenadier’s case any better lol.

1 - I currently hate crabat, the name of the unit says it all, no explanation!
2 - I hate desert raiders because they are simply 2-age oprichniks with a siege melee attack that is simply strong and stupid as a mechanism.
3 - The units against Hausa trumpet simply destroy my ears when they “ring” let’s say mess in battle.

Forest prowler because they’re too strong.

The upcoming changes to stealth should nerf them a little.

it will nerf the ones who are already not that great to ambush drastically
Jaguar Knights, Coyote Runenrs and any melee unit… ranged stealth units will barely see a con

It’s still an overall very good change, and even the ranged ones will be much more vulnerable when trying to do hit and run tactics with stealth. At least now a mass of Tashunke Prowlers won’t be unstoppable. The only thing it might be a little overly harsh on is Jaguar Prowlers.
A los merodeadores jaguar podrían darle armadura a distancia y cambiarles la etiqueta de infantería pesada
A little more health would probably be enough. The uniqueness of heavy infantry that counters heavy infantry should be retained.
puede ser colega, tienes razón en la singularidad, pero ahora con el nerf al sigilo va a estar jodido al menos a los espías y a los ninjas (y rastreadores nativos debieron dejárselo como estaba)
