No, E3 disappeared in 2021 after the pandemic. What exists now is the Summer Game Fest, which is like its successor. The Summer Game Fest will be held between June 5th and 8th, 2026, on the same dates that E3 was held until 2021.

Let’s hope something good comes soon; the game needs a comeback somehow. All the titles in the franchise are receiving regular updates except for Age of Empires 3, which is quite inconsistent since AOE 3 still has a very good number of players, even slightly more than AOM Retold, What makes the developers’ neglect of AOE 3 over the last two years even stranger. The last thing I can say is that this title deserves a little more care and the same treatment as the other games in the franchise. I find it very unprofessional that the company engages in this kind of practice of ceasing support for a game that clearly still feels incomplete, continues to have bugs, and is still lacking content. More content was announced, but for some strange reason, it never arrived, and just like that, without any apparent reason, it was abandoned, and all regular support was removed overnight. In conclusion, this type of practice in the video game industry should not be normalized, as it affects a large portion of consumers with the poor decisions made suddenly.

If those updates mean something, all I can say is that Age III DE isn’t abandoned at all…

In fact, it’s the AOE1 fans abandon AOE DE, they love to play the original version, so I think W.E. is OK to neglect AOE1. But AOE3 DE is not the same.

What??? AOE1DE players were mad to buy AOE2DE to play their favorite game in a better state.
AOE1 =/= AOE1DE players (aka people outside China and Vietnam)
Which is another shame for Worlds Edge and Microslop
Return of Rome and Chronicles DLCs should have been developed for Age of Empires I Definitive Edition

I think my akan card bug report started all this.They realized they can atleast fix the bugs.There is one more thing i want too.I cant get some of the explorer skins they are just locked away.Just give it them to everyone pls.

I certainly hope that’s the case, but I’m not convinced we can assume that.
I’ve done some really low level coding and if these changes are something like progress saves it could simply be that they are currently working on something faster or easier. Imagine changing a few stats (ie balance changes) rather than fixing a bug that you might have to run through hundreds (or thousands) of lines of code before you even think you might have found what’s wrong.
Having said that, if they’ve moved from bug fixes to balance changes that could imply they are getting closer to a play testing or launch phase.
Once they are close to launching I’m hoping we get an announcement with attached patch notes. No need to let people overhype themselves and get disappointed if it doesn’t live up to their lofty expectations.
