Would it actually make sense tho? I know they are running on the same engine but needing to update game you no longer want to develop to update the one you’re working on doesn’t scream a lot of sense to me.
Any movement since the AoMR release?
so they’ve been making DLC for 5 months now??? and nothing yet?? or how long will they update the steam db?
How long do you think a DLC takes to be made???
Specially since its obvious the team working on whatever is that is smaller than in normal times.
and? 5 months is a lot … for one 2 civilizations … on top of that more than half of the things already exist in the game … those people need to be paid and every month or week there are additional costs …
Development of DLC for Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition (AoE3 DE) has typically taken 3 to 9 months from announcement to release in the past, but recent information suggests that development of new content has been definitively completed.
I’m not saying they’re working on a DLC, but previous DLCs were made before they moved the AoE3 team to AoMR. They clearly have some work still being done on AoMR (because a patch came out recently) so unless they hired another team it’s unreasonable to assume old timelines hold. If (for example) 60% of the AoE3/AoMR team is still on AoMR then you could probably add ~60% to the 3-9 months development. And more if they are working on fixing a lot of bugs so they can leave everything in a better state when they eventually abandon the game again.
Give them time. I won’t expect anything in the first half this year but second half seems likely given it’s the time of conventions again, like Gamescom.
Perhaps they are also backporting AoM Bang stuff to AoE3 DE
I suspect the same, the engine updates would more than explain why it’s taking so long.
…It’d also fix most of the current issues with the game.
The time has finally come, what we’ve all been waiting for is almost here, it’s just a matter of time before we witness the return of AOE 3, don’t forget my words ![]()
Announcement ≠ start of work though?
Just curious, how is the online UI of AoM?? As bad as III one?
Well, you can still change your god after the game decided on the map.
I mean friend list, lobbies, chats, ranks… more about the info displayed and experience
This is something new yeah!!
this changed public branch happened on 268k items, including AOE1/2/4/M(while they changed in different number), so that did not mean something new.
Regarding the big one yesterday, yes, you are correct. That’s probably linked to the Steam Spring Sale.
However, there has been one other update made today though that is AOE3 specific.
