I wouldn’t rule out experimental AI led changes. Which I am not sure how I feel about.

Hmm not sure. Partner preview is usually only for the partner studios but not the first party IPs. But I’m happy to be surprised.

Yeah it could be something special
I noticed there were some updates that are late night Euro time, some even after midnight. Since most devs from FE are either from Europe or America, this must’ve been Tantalus who are Australia-based and co-work with FE on AoE 3 and AoM.

Yes, I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of an AoE livestream like the one in 2024, announcing everything at once: the Aztec DLC for AoM Retold, the Chinese campaign and new variants for AoE 4; AoE 3 for consoles (and maybe they’ll bring back the Baltic DLC?) and the AoE Mobile port to PC (nobody cares about that)… AoE 2 wouldn’t be shown much since it received the TLC DLC a week and a half ago…

Or an AI that works 24/7. At best, it could be the new Ottoman buff we so desperately need, or some kind of asset extraction or something similar to improve AOM-R.
I wouldn’t get my hopes up too much.
I mean, I get the pessimism and I likewise think that until nothing official has been announced we should take the SteamDB updates with a grain of salt but it wouldn’t really make sense to randomly start updating the game mid-October, right?

Yes, that would have been nice… but oh well… we’ll have to wait for an AoE 3 DE-DE in 2030 or for modders to make it…
