What’s steamdb aoe3de happen

I see two possible dates where Microsoft can announce anything AoE-related:

  • Xbox Showcase @ 7th June
  • Gamescom @ 26-30th August

still going steady

no extremes like 4 or 5 a day, but on average roughly the same as before.

nah, i think you are correct, it slowed down a tiny bit

Atleast in my country there were a lot of public holidays over the last few weeks, maybe the devs had some aswell (good for them!^^) maybe thats why or someone got sick… but nothing to worry about

Still manages around 1.5 changes a week day. For a supposedly abandoned game that is astounding.

It’s not the game that should be abandoned.

It appears that SteamDB updates have ceased for several days, leading us to expect an official announcement regarding the development of Age of Empires III in June, if anything at all. While everything said on the forum is purely speculation, we haven’t ruled out the possibility of seeing something in the coming months.

Hopefully it’s the Baltic DLC with the improvements they brought to AoM (first-person combat camera too?)…

I hope so too. I hope the developers finally give Age of Empires III the place it deserves. It’s been over two years since they released an official patch, and they haven’t fixed some of the game’s bugs, not to mention the poor optimization and the current imbalance. We’re all waiting for new content, whether it’s an update or a new expansion.

Shouldnt have a unnamed depot related to aoe3 to be a DLC, like the ones for aoe2?

No they never do that with 3 but in Jan there was an uk own app updated with a token alongside the game so the conclusion is it had to be something for the game as it matches previous new content

Not sure why most of the replies here expect new content or a revival of the game. Given how bloated it already is with content, running on such an old and unoptimized engine, I’m not sure how it would even hold up if more were added. The game is already full of memory leaks, freezes, lag, and so on.

el aom fue trabajado en el mismo motor y esta mejor optimizado que el 3, osea el motor no es el problema, solo que lo trabajaron mal y lo mejoraron en AOM

Well if they port to console it will bring in more income and then in turn they can fix these issues

I expect nothing but still hold a small hope it will be something.

Yes, a console port would at least serve as a starting point to try and rebuild the relationship with the AoE 3 community…it’s like when you fight with your girlfriend and break up due to irreconcilable differences, you slowly try to rebuild your relationship with her to at least remain friends…

Yeah and really I can’t see any reason why it can’t be done considering AOM is on console. Yes you have the card section on another page but we have a cursor still
That can be controlled so I have no idea why they haven’t done it yet.

There is a lot of potential still for the game, more historical battles and would of been great to have a proper historical campaign

Jup. The fact that AoM technically is even more micro intensiv with certain units (cyclops throw f.e.) has also not stopped it from happening either.
