I feel we just have to wait until the roadmap of the rest of the year come out and if nothing then we can say it’s officially dead
And you know what the worst part of the situation is? I don’t know why, but I have the impression that Age of Empires II will receive something soon, while Age of Empires III, if it does have any major announcement, will be later, like in August or September. I remember seeing the iconic phrase in the notes for the last patch, which said, “We are working on new content for Age of Empires II, which we hope to share very soon.” This makes me think that there will most likely be an announcement at the end of this month or the beginning of July about a new DLC for Age of Empires II, which could be about the Chronicles series, or it could also be about Mesoamerican cultures, or finally, maybe they’ll return to Europe with a new Balkan DLC, adding civilizations like Romania, Wallachia, and Croatia, and removing the Slavs to add the Russians, or Muscovites, whichever you prefer. The latter appear in several campaigns incorrectly as Slavs, and we must remember that the Slavs are not a civilization; they are a… ethnicity of several Eastern European nations
Don’t they usually put out a long post with “what’s left to come in 2026” for second Half of the year
If they don’t then it could be a while longer. The issue really is the wording used, they said they would rotate civs etc but the said we won’t be releasing “this” dlc, so it doesn’t really say never any more dlc.
New content for AoE2 and AoE4 does not influence possible AoE3 DLC much because there are separate teams working for those titles.
We share developers with AoM Retold so it is more interesting for us what they bring for AoM Retold in II half of 2026.
I think part of AoM Retold team started to work on our DLC about 9 months ago when movement on SteamDB started. On 2025 Gamescom big updates for AoE franchise were announced so I’m really looking to see some info about our DLC in Gamescom this year.
I’m betting for our DLC in late 2026.
No hay tal cosa
Solo el volumen 1, Kunoichi
es un decir, nadie me va a sacar de la cabeza que los rusos hiban a tener una skin de una oficial rusa en vez del oso
Yes, the DLC is coming out in 2026! I have some information from the Reddit forum about the new DLC, but I probably can’t post it here because I’d get blocked…
I hope so… I don’t want AoM to be left without DLC either, but since it seems this will be the last DLC for AoE 3, I’ll accept it…
Searching DLC on aoe3 reddit last month doesnt give any meaningful result
Sacrificing one game for the sake of another shouldn’t even be considered. That would only reflect the company’s incompetence.
If resources are limited, they can simply take the necessary time.
I think I found it, but the post had been deleted. Some of the comments suggested the thumbnail was AI, but the whole post was gone so I’m not even sure what was being suggested in the post.
It was this video
Clickbait title with the same info that we have. Of course it didnt happen on xbox showcase
Classic airchair click bait
Furthermore, AOE-3 is not worthy of being at important events, remember that.
I have to respectfully disagree with this approach. Grouping Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Mongolians, and Siberian indigenous peoples under the single label of ‘Tatars’ is historically inaccurate for the Age of Empires 3 timeline (16th–19th centuries)
Yes, I know, but given the budget limitations, we have no other choice… the idea would be to release a DLC set in Central Asia, including Kazakhs, Uzbeks, and even Afghans… but knowing the developers, they’d probably go with Persians, Tatars, or Omanis…
developers are currently working on DLC Poland and Denmark
Is this confirmed?
Or only Hopium overdose?
Data miners discovered it…
Do you have any evidence of that? Sorry, but I’m quite skeptical…
