What should be theme of the next expansion we're getting (if we're lucky enough to get one)?

Considering that Lords of the West came with a Western European theme, what would you like the next one to be?

I’m hoping for one of those three (if we should get three more civs to get to the nice round number of 40):

African

(new Central African architecture)

  • Kongolese (Central African architecture)
  • Zimbabweans/Monomotapa (Central African architecture)
  • Kanembu or Swahili (Sahel Architecture)

American

Two new sets (Andean/East Coast American)

  • Mississippians (East Coast American)
  • Haudenosaunee (East Coast American)
  • Chimu (Andean)
    Inca changed to Andean

Indian
No new architecture set

  • Chola/Tamil (South Asian)
  • Bengali (South Asian)
  • Afghans/Ghurid (Central Asian)

My current choice is DLC set around Christian faith and add:
Bohemians
Poles
Armenians
Georgians
Poles and Bohemians share Eastern European architecture set while Armenians and Georgians new caucasian architecture set.

Poles could have Boleslaw Chrobry ( The Brave ) campaign fighting against Holy Roman Empire and Kievan Rus’ and their Viking mercenaries. While Bohemians Hussite wars fighting entire western europe.

  • Historical battle: Battle of Grunwald 1410: Player plays as a Poles and has access to Tatar mercenaries against Teutonic Order with French and English Knighthood.

I’d but Bohemians under Germanic architecture, otherwise you have an architecture set overload (6 civs using Eastern European architecture seems like a bit too much).

To be serious, we need a Christian Faith DLC with this civs:
Armenians
Georgians
Nubians
.
More interesting than Hussites (which wouldn’t be that bad) and Poles.

But do we really need a theme at all? I think it would be interesting to have 3-4 civs from very different world regions, if there is an expansion.

Not really but the last ones had one

yes, very different world regions, like Western Europe, Scandanavia, Central Europe, Balkans and Eastern Europe.

You know, you sound awfully a lot like Parthnan…

Isnt it kinda obvious :grinning:

Next expansion needs to be focussed on bug fixing and QoL improvement. If the game needs something, then it is making the game stable and fixing the technical issues. New civs needs to be very low on the priority list.

Bux fixes should be for free why would anyone in the right mind pay again for fixes when they have bought the base game?

Lords of the Caucasus: Georgians, Armenians.
The Hidden Rulers of Asia: Afghans, Chola, Bengali.
The East hegemony: Jurchen, Tibetans, Siamese.

You probably know what i mean: We dont need stuf like new civs, while there are still lots of other things that needs to be improved. So focus on those things. Ofc they need to be free for everyone.

We don’t need new civs, now that Europe has got it’s share. We should consider adding civs later on though, when the demand for “Lords of the British Isles”, “Lords of Germania” or “Lords of the East” (Eastern Europe) rises.

Lords of Balkan
Lords of Hispania
Lords of Norse

Another Civ with this idea would be the vlachs as we have a vlad dracula campaign ( he was a vlach) and no vlach civ and a historical battle would be Rovine (1395) or The night attack (1462)
