When do you think the promised DLCs will be released?

Due to the heavy workload of developers, there is a high probability that DLCs will be released between June 2025 and December 2025.

Have you got a dart, dartboard and a post-it note with DLC release date on it? If not, go grab them and see for yourself when the DLC will be released

In all seriousness, I have no clue of the date, and going by the early announcement (flag-gate #neverforget), the publishers have no idea as well.

I think it’s best just to assume ‘sometime 2025’ and not pin to many hopes on it.

Never again, they’ll keep extending it in the future. Forever and ever.

Seems reasonable. If it is not released before 2026, I think we can assume it’s been cancelled.

I do think we can call it cancelled right now. I mean, what do they really have to show for it? The anouncement was little more than two flags in the screen and barely a sentence of speech. Normally, you wouldn’t announce a new product unless you have something to show for it; I mean, you can’t reasonably expet to have a full product but at least be well into the production face. Case and point: the Mexico DLC. The mexican trailer had many assets that were scrapped before release and many textures that were improved, etc, but it was a tangible thing, not a vague promise.
What we got for the new DLC was no more than a vague promise and we decided to put our trust in that, and it didn’t went well.
I think the healtiest thing is to asume the Baltic DLC was never promised and move on knowing the fact that WE don’t care about AoE3.

my guess is in February or September, and not somewhere in between

I’ll be honest. I don’t think this DLC ever existed at all. It’s announcement was just a throwaway line during a livestream event almost an year ago and since then we have not had any evidence that it is begin developed, not even a leak or a rumor.

I’m sure World’s Edge wants to make more content for AoE3DE at some point, but it’s at the bottom of their priority list and will likely stay there forever. AoMR will require a lot of attention for at least one whole year, AoE2DE content is being handled by the community, but needs to go through World’s Edge to be tested and approved, AoE4 probably still has some DLCs in the pipeline, and they might even have entirely new projects to work on. Which unfortunately means that unless there is a sudden shift in studio priorities, they won’t be able to dedicate any decent amount of time for AoE3DE.

Well, there was a leak about Poland and Denmark months before the official announcement. I think they at least had a prototype.

Yeah, but that was before the announcement. Since the announcement, there was nothing that I’m aware of.

Bruh. The “”“leak”“” was some assets, concretely, a pair of flags which could or could not have been intended for a couple of revolutions. This is by no means a leak, but content deliverately introduced by the devs and could be accessed by any of the publicly avilables decompresion softwere. The only thing that is left unknown is if this was intended as a method to generate hype or was merely cut content.

What level of disappointment will you guys be if it turns out to be just two new revolutions in the year end update?

I want everyone to be honest, does anyone think this DLC is going to be done right? Because seeing how AOE3 is being treated I think the future DLC if released will be awful and will not meet the community’s expectations.

I know this opinion is going to be unpopular, but I think the developers should cancel the DLC and focus on creating monthly patches that actually bring quality of life improvements, re-works to old revolutions, improvements to game balance, and changes that make current civilizations more visually unique. They’ll have time to bring more civilizations when they get some of the lost personnel back.

I would personally like to have all of that!
Then DLC could be a straight possibility!

I imagine somewhere between January and April.

I’ve come to think about it, but I still have faith, because even though the administration treats the game badly, the developers have shown passion for the game.

The paradox is that this requires funding. It’s another reason why DLC is released.

I think it is going to be cancelled in the next announcement which is probably next year

Polish and Denmark files weren’t leaks, just work in progress revolutions.

At some moment they decided to make them full civs, but AoM Retold took over all the resources. Probably they only have concepts for them and not much more assets done

I think it’s simple

I’d agree with you if the game was an INDI, but we’re talking about a company here. Plus, if we buy the DLC after everything that’s been going on, we’d be sending the message that they can treat us like garbage with impunity.
