They are actually making stuff with the same speed as before just releasing less updates…
I really don’t know why, like they could release atleast 1 hotfix each month besides the big updates, fixing lot’s of small bugs aswell
Someone needs to tell them that it’s OK to have multiple hotfixes in one month…
Is enough, as long as you don’t break anything tou built before
Hotfixes take time away from working on next main update, so we will end up with less new features and fixes in it. Hotfixes should only be done if absolutely necessary.
You’re saying that Malay hotfix wasn’t necessary 9 days ago and still isn’t?
Malay age-up bug is a feature . Why are you hurrying into the next age anyway? Patience is a virtue and never-ending progress bar test of mettle.
I don’t want bew features if that’s mean that basic ones should be neglected. I want the core of the game to work properly. Not 256x cheats and visuak challenges
like purple berries… my god…
Spring berries are a nice change and didn’t break the game so they were 100% fine. The new visual mods seemingly didn’t break the game either, and the larger onager projectiles were even a hugely requested change.
The new projectiles still look worse compared to the mod
So you are basically saying that I should not go random and go pick civilizations as two of the civs are bugged? Really dude? Why do I want to alter my playstyle of going random just because two civs are broken. It’s like saying to the clients “Oh this feature X and Y are broken! Just don’t use them and go to this feature from A to Z except X and Y”.
I think you should play the game without saying some stuffs like this as this is clearly a blunder. Enemy walking through walls when you imagine wall walking bug won’t happen is just pure tilting.
Honestly, I am getting annoyed every patch by some of the balances they introduce and they break almost five to ten functionalities of the game. Just test your product and release, none of us are asking for an update at the first week of each month.
Can we get a hotfix for the pathing issue as well? Every time I see something related to pathing saying that it’s fixed, its not even fully fixed. Why are you telling that the pathing issue is resolved when the issue is not even fully resolved.
you dont even understand what is trying to be told here. we dont give a f about unnecessary visuals like that, when the essentials are broke. it s lost development time. period.
you realize there are different teams working on different stuff? balance, design, scripting and so on
Then the coding team only have to focus in patch the holes they creates.
Seriously man, let’s not try that hard to justify them
To be clear: I am not against a Hotfix. Like i already said: Me too asked for an ETA for the hotfix. I wont deny things are broken and need to be fixed. I fully agree with you (and many others in this thread) that the focus must be on improving game play, not some visual stuff. I dont really care about those visuals.
Like you i want Malay to be fixed. Like you i want Ethiopians to be fixe. Like you i want melee pathing to be fixed. I can continu the list, but i think the point is clear: Bugs needs to be fixed.
It is not like 80% of the games are decided by bugs instead of the actions of the players. So yes, bug needs to be fixed. Yes, i fully agree there needs to be hotfix. But also yes, i still enjoy playing the game.
then just make them go on holiday or use them as beta testers instead of unnecessary bs.

I know. The thing is they broke important things trying to implement silly things. I’M 99% sure that the malay bug is due to the new cheat of 256 techs. And probably that cheat took a good chunk of time and effort to code. That time could have been invested in pathing.
The problem is about priorities. If they could get priorities straight, they could have an excellent polished game for next month, with almost perfect both balance and pathing. From there you can add whatever you want

I fully aagree. I want more prio for bugfixes too.
You know what could be an outstanding move, since 2 weeks passed by without an hotfix skip the hotfix and came out with a new patch way before of the expected date. C’mon devs, show us that you care!
I am afraid, that hurrying with patch release is going to end up with a need for a new hotfix very quickly…
