Well, at the end their gonna have to fix it xD. But yeahz you may be right. It’s just i don’t want to think they did nothing about malay being bugged
Since we got no hotfix I’m guessing that the issue caused by the 256x tech cheat is massive.
Hopefully it will be fixed with the next monthly patch but that’s still two weeks away.
It became 256x bug cheat. Btw, cheat itself is not working But bugs apparently are working.
They should remove it altogether. Maybe a mod could be made, but I see it as a unnecessary sacrifice for the game, to have this issues due to a cheat
I lost the hope for a hotfix
Me too. I don’t want to lose hope of devs. Hope they’ll give us some good patch soon
Oh it does work. Got frustrated on Bari 4 and decided to rage-cheat and combine both new cheats to get an infinity of conscription/hoardings/fletching for free. It was positively hilarious to witness, and once I finished the game told me I wouldn’t receive the gold medal, so it still gave me silver one, even tho I was 100% sure cheating would result in no medal at all 11
So…
It is not working.
Since they made a message to tell the player that gold medals specifically wouldn’t be awarded with cheats on, I guess it is working as intended. It’s just that I didn’t expect the system to be that way.
:o I can’t believe they are rewarding any medals for cheats.
Still, it is a punishment 11
Oh please don’t tell me, that the incredibly frustrating and unfair “Rebellion of Melus” gameplay from HD is still in that campaign. The scenario where player has to attack extremely heavily fortified base of infinite unit spam imperial age enemy while only having castle age units + cataphracts from one castle.
Didn’t play HD version but I don’t think DE one has Melus in it. You can go imperial and you have two choices, protect the castle for an hour or defeat enemies. Defending the castle is much easier, I built two keeps, walled off castle, had arbs garrisoned and a few BBCs stationed
Oh, that sounds much more reasonable. “Rebellion of Melus” took a while to beat even with 50 cobra cars. Probably toughest AOE 2 scenario of all time. Trouble for even the Viper.
Which difficulty? Because defending against teutonic knights+ teuton cavalier + ironclad trebs while you’re either stuck in castle or without ressources isn’t cool.
moderate, it was he l l but once you setup your defense it was a breeze. I got up two more TCs, defended with xbows and pikes. Maybe it was tougher than I remember because castle defended with keeps and BBCs is all I really remember clearly
Did you pay the yellow player? If I don’t I guess I will have more ressources for more archer but they seemed to perform at least decent, especially by campaign ally standards.
I lost a lot of motivation to play when the map pool got updated for this patch, but seeing how malay is still broken and the fact that techs sometimes are being researched several times or for free made me uninstall the game. Seems to happen almost every game I’ve played that someone get’s affected by this bug. Today I had one game when I got the castle age upgrade for free and the game afterwards my bodkin got researched twice, so I ended up with 5+3 xbows. Yesterday played a tournament game and one guy has bloodlines researched twice which results in 95 HP conqs in castle age.
It really sucks, because I genuinely enjoy playing this game - when it functions well. Uninstalling, and checking back sometime later has pretty much started to become a habit. But I’ll check back with next patch, and the patches after that. I just wish it didn’t have to be this way.
What industries on Earth have zero errors, zero issues, and 100% perfection with all of their products, releases, processes, output, etc. I sometimes wonder? I’m curious, because it sometimes seems like people who play games feel the game industry should have 100% perfection; and any deviance from this is absolutely unacceptable and should be remedied within ~24 hours max. We all work in industries and businesses every day that don’t have 100% perfection; or at least most of us do. And not everything can be fixed overnight (usually). I wonder if the game industry is a lot different than ones we work in somehow.
But if anyone here works in a 100% error-free business or industry of some sort, where everything done internally and externally is absolute perfection, please let us know so we can all learn from these places. No errors or issues anywhere would be pretty cool. Most any industry/business I can think of, though, has issues; both at a high level and also all the individual entities within them (construction, pharma, engineering, software development, legal, grocery, automotive, airline, petrol, agriculture, educational, government, music, chip-makers, beauty, movie, telecom, hair salons, restaurants, tourism, insurance, actuarial, etc.). Struggling to find any business or industry that is absolutely perfect, but, admittedly, I might be overlooking some?
Please man. It was working until last patch. At this point there are no arguments to justify this. Even more, considering battle of africa 2 happening right now
