We’ve known that since they haven’t added color pick since Alpha stage development. Nonetheless, any new Civ…or anything, will bring in new players and we’ll get a bit more activity in da social sphere from the pros trying it out.
I’m surprised no expansions have been announced for any AoEs this year yet
Scotland spain bizantino y japan
maybe the Pandya? Since they lasted for so damn long and was fighting Delhi post 11th century. As long as it is a Tamil empire. But what unique military did they have? Maybe a Deccan based Empire spanning form Pandya, Chola, Vijayanagar?
Of Course Turks Tımur and Memluk’s
Well, you can’t have’em all. At least they were there; the winning and the losing is up to the player.
To be fair, the only reason I still play AoE 3 is because of South American and Native American Civs. They need more representations in the game. And frankly only their Civs can bring something fresh to AoE 4. Otherwise, if you add Civs from the same continent then they will be 99% going to be same-y.
Yes,in fact ensemble studios did well to put the minor natives so that they have greater representativeness that otherwise would not have been possible without making them complete civs…
I’ve always wanted this, unique units could be various soldiers of the Holy orders, the mix of cultures in the kingdom of Jerusalem could make for some intresting bonuses and theres quite a good variety of buildings that could be used as landmarks.
I wonder if the modding tools will allow us to, more or less, add new Civs with sufficient effort.
Scottish, Turkish, Vikings Byzantines
I was rather astounded that this game arrived on launch without the Byzantines, especially knowing that the Byzantines were an important part of the Middle Ages and were highly popular in AoE2, not to mention popular among history enthusiasts generally. So I’d like to see them come first as DLC.
Otherwise, the Norse are a classic and could show the evolution from raiders to Normans to Crusaders. I suspect they will be included because the Danes in one of the early campaign missions have a unique double-handed axe unit.
With this new content editor in the beta, you guys can make your new civs!!
Not only is greater representation needed, but also to have a positive impact on the majority of potential buyers.
Japanese, Byzantines, Nordics, Aztecs and Spanish are very candidate civilizations.
I hope that by Autumn (with an enjoyable balance) the DLC will be ready.
Japanese,Aztecs ,maya,korea
only those civs Desperately need to join DLC
I hope that by Autumn (with an enjoyable balance) the DLC will be ready.
Mezo Civs hardly fit the tech timeline. Japan or Spanish are the most necessary for being cool irl and in fictional representation.
Portuguese are missing for sure
A good DLC pack will be : 2 civs that already know from Age2 and the others will be new in the series with maps and all of that
I’d like to see the Koreans
