Why isn't Austria (Habsburg) coming to DLC?!

Why March? [20characters]

I mean, let it be like this year…

Austro-Prussian rivalry - Wikipedia Hoping for Austria & Prussia ( Maybe also other german states as third separate faction named HRE). I dont know to thinking about Switzerland in AOE 3 DE but they definitely should be released someday in AOE 2 DE and have own campaign.

If you check the adjacent poll, you’ll note that there’s a significant amount of people who DON’T hope for a German split. You’ll need to convince them (us) that a German split is desirable before asking the devs to do it. Why would the devs do it if it won’t sell?

You’re delusional if you think European civs don’t sell. There’s a reason they’re making 2 in a row.

It’s actually surprising how little opposition there is for such a poorly framed poll for a nebulous change. People’s knee jerk reaction is generally going to be sticking with the devil they know. A German split could entail massive changes to the current Germans or none at all. If there’s even a hint of the former, any German mains will stick with the statue quo.

I suppose the only way to find out is to actually do the split. Either I was right all along, or if I’m wrong, the playerbase expands and the game gets more money.

Anything can be…Switzerland is simply to justify an Alpine dlc and a German dlc/rework…

Yes, the devs love European dlcs and since they already spent everything they could on AoE 2 (except the Balkans and Alps), they want to do the same on AoE 3…

Yes, if you touch on everything that makes Germany, it’s going to be quite an issue for German fans…they have to think carefully about how they are going to do it…the same with India…

Tilanus: “What the–are these idiots yammering about a German split AGAIN? Did I not say we’re never doing it?”

If diffrent people talking about it still , still and still , maybe there is something in this idea.

People around the world have been kvetching about paying taxes for millennia, now, and nobody’s abolished them.

People around the world have been pledging to cut saturated fats and seed oils out of their diets for several decades, now, and fast food remains a booming business.

People around the world have played nine generations of mainline Pokémon games, ostensibly to “Catch 'Em All”, but not only is a living Pokédex a notable achievement, it’s no longer even possible to do in a single cartridge/game disc.

Just because there’s been discussion of a Germans split for a few years, doesn’t mean that we’re gonna get a Germans split. Or an Indians split. Or a Chinese split. Or an Ottomans split.

Or God forbid, a United States split.

The Crimean Khanate deserves a spot on the roster? A country whose role in history was literally to just be the minor leagues for prospective Ottoman ########### and a glorified slave bazaar for everybody else in Eastern Europe. That civilization?

We already have the Tatars in general as a campaign-only civ, and their flag uses similar colors and iconography to the Crimean Tatar flag used today.

There’s a better chance, I kid you not, of an umbrella Australian aboriginal civilization making it into this game than there is of us getting a Crimean civ in any capacity.

Yet again?

We could have a generic “Tatars” civ (kinda like the Germans or Italians) that can represent the Kazakhs/Uzbeks/Crimeans/Dzungars from the central Asian steppes
