THis makes no sense. they’r even better than elite archers like Chu ko nu. Why ever take a foot archer civ when heavy cavalry archers are always the better choice!>? There’s no reason to take the chinese when Tartars and Magyars’ heavy cavalry archers are way better than the Chui ko nus. They even outperform Chu ko nus on a equal ressource level,.

Chu-ko-nus were a peasant weapon while horse archers conquered empires and kingdoms multiple times in history

You’ve only been on these forums for about a week and most of what you’ve contributed isn’t even accurate information. CA cost more than foot archers so obviously they will be better. Respectfully, I recommend digging a little deeper into what units are actually too powerful and which ones aren’t. For example, your celts OP post is not statistically accurate.
Celts win 50.8% of the time and you called them OP. I further recommend contributing some accurate info to the community which will actually be taken seriously rather than spam it with inaccurate observations likely based on one game you’ve played.

Cavalry archers are worse than foot archers in a number of ways: they have a shorter range, they can’t be trained in Feudal Age so are harder to mass, they’re more dependent on thumb ring, they require more techs to fully upgrade, and the heavy cavalry archer upgrade is pricey (more expensive than crossbow and arbalest combined).

Play some TW, you’ll see it’s perfectly logical horse archers counter foot archers in an open field. As they can double as light cavalry by charging into melee, and unless you have elite armoured archers, they tend to be very squishy in melee. While the horse archer has the weight and speed of the horse to help during the charge.
But they tend to be more expensive (as you have to pay for the horse) and foot archers have more options in defensive structures.
@devs there’s no reason to ever make foot archers when cav archers are far superior even better than unique unit archers
Tbh, I don’t want him(Turk guy) to be perma banned as he is pretty chill most of the time. I have had some good arguments with him that didn’t turn into Turk spam too. Unlike SurfaceTen, he doesn’t swear at or personally attack literally anybody who disagrees with him either.

they are way cheaper and you can start massing them in feudal age
also foot archers dunk cav archers with range advantage
also CA has more counters in general
The actual game has all game modes, not just “death match” or what ever. That mode is only a (minor) PART of the game.
