African Expansion DLC | Ethiopia + Hausa | New mechanics to the game

It is not me who is adding the USA as a civ to this game…

Now, the peoples will start demanding something that we didn’t want before. Why should the USA be civ and Brazil not? Again, North America is more pampered than South America. The developers opened Pandora’s box by adding the USA.

With the addition of the USA, it would be fitting to add at least Brazil as the second civ (matching the USA).

The only thing that can save is the DLC are extra stuff, not yet shown - FAN PREVIEW said that this DLC would have more stuff. I am counting on 1 or 3 other American revolutionary civs or North American natives civs. A new campaign / Historical Battle for the US Civil War would also be nice.

This is the answer my friend : They added USA and they will add africans because we had them in SP & HBs (we had africans only in HBs) . If we want to see some really new civs as DLC , it will happen after african expansion . Maybe Q4 2021 & next year . I think next year (2022) is key year for our dear AOE III DE .

If we count African expansion as DE’s 1st complete expansion (with 3 or maybe 4 new civs) I’m sure we will receive 2nd expansion next year .
:hugs::hugs::hugs:
Africa will not be the final DLC :fist:t2::fist:t2::fist:t2:

I think the African DLC might be the biggest ever AoE 3. Brand new civs (4-6), new mechanics, new maps etc - just a lot of fresh stuff.

The Asian DLC would be smaller than the African DLC. We already have some Asian civs, Asian maps etc. Asian DLC I think could be a medium DLC (3-4 civs but no campaign. Some Historical Battles and some new maps - Australian and Ocean maps too).

The European DLC would be smaller than the African DLC, but richer than the Asian DLC. Some new civs (so that every European empire is represented in this game), European maps (not in the game), maybe new architectural styles, European Minor Nations, new revolutionary civs, many Historical Battles etc

The Native American DLC would only include new civs and a few new Minor Nations.

Not necessarily, because it would introduce Central Asian, Arabian and Levantine maps and Minor Settlements, such as Pashtuns (with the Jezzail unit), Kurds, Shia Mosques, and so on.

Yes you are right.

I think an Asian DLC could include 3-4 civs:

  1. Persians
  2. Siamese
  3. Omani (or Arabs)
  4. Koreans

i think 6 factions is a bit over the top in expectations, most likely we are looking at 3-4 civs and then hopefully some new maps and natives.

Yep I doubt we will see anything new after the African Dynasties expansion. However, I’m crossing my fingers for the slim chance that we get a 4th expansion featuring the three missing civs that top most people’s lists: Italians, Mapuche and Persians.

If American natives and Asians receive new civs (3-4 each), the developers will definitely want to produce a similar number of African civs.

If there are 7 American natives civs and 7 Asians civs, then for sure there will be only 3-4 Africans civs. In this case, the African civs will be at least 5-6.

1-2 civs can be given for free to get acquainted with African mechanics and to encourage you to buy this DLC.
Not everyone will want to buy a pig in a poke.

i dont think we will get more american native civs unless maori count here, maybe and just MAYBE we’ll see mapuche but i dont think we will.

i dont think well get free DLC with the african factions, the free content there will be the new maps and natives.

I don’t see any reason to expect that each of the “geographical groups” receive equal number of civs.

Any geographical groups no, any continent yes (without Oceania).

We need Zulus and Moroccans asap, not just Ethiopians and Hausa(Fulani)

What makes you think this? We were only shown two.

That the developers will want Africa to have a similar number of civs as Asia and America (after potential new civs).

I also expect that for better publicity and marketing they will give 2 civs for free. People will like these civs then they will buy the DLC. Not everyone will want to buy a pig in a poke.

I’m really looking forward to the new African expansion with its gorgeous architecture sets.

Was about time to see Africa in AOE3 :+1:

I think you’re assuming too much.

Burma would be a good one for the period as the games timespan would include both the Taungoo and Kongbaung Empires and was independent up until 1885. Burma has lots of historical manmade landmarks for the wonder age-up mechanic and for their consulate allies, they could have the Portuguese, British, or French, all of which historically have interacted with them. If they had a campaign to accompany them it could follow Alaungpaya and his reunification of Burma to establish the third Burmese Empire.

Or let’s give a representation of the Tatar nations?
China and Japan represent the Far East. India represents the Indian subcontinent. The Siamese would represent Southeast Asia. Persians and Omani (or Arabs) would represent the Middle East. So there could be a representation of North and Central Asia - Tatars, Kazakhs or Mongols.

I think representation shouldn’t be the deciding factor for choosing civs. They should implement civs who are the best civs for the job - the most powerful and most historically significant empires.
