I want to dream bigger.
If they find the “free trial but buy the full game if you like” mode profitable enough, maybe they could directly add contents to the base game in the future instead of selling DLCs… 
And the online community would be dispersed into different mods…
Is it able to be unlocked before the month ends? It appears as locked in my Home City, and there is no prompt to claim it.

In principle, anyone who has made a game should already have it. It is supposed that the only thing that should be done is to have 200,000 games, and each one of them is with at least one different player.

I launched a Skirmish game and got the prompt to claim it after completion. Campaign and joining Co-op Historical Battles doesn’t count, apparently.

Is the player base ground since a civ went free?
number seems to have found a new normal, i think we’ll stay around this number from this point on, i didn’t expect the initial spike to last, it never does

Yep, we’re still doing good. My mindset towards this is from the get-go if 6 months from now we have added 500-1000 new players we’re all set. Just below the daily average of AoEIV is really good imo. The goal was to increase the playerbase and it seems it worked. Success!

Exactly, the peaks during the weekend morning where I live have gone from 4700 or so to over 7000, seems to be staying there for the time being so I’m happy with that!
