Any hints for "Porto" AOE2 DLC?

Oh, maybe I misunderstood the question. The King on the picture looks like the south east Asian one to me, but I think you’re right that Indians currently use the middle eastern King graphic.

Sorry, I thought you were referring to the sails. There’s quite some confusion going on, sorry.

The SEA King has an umbrella.

More the Visigoths than the Ostrogoths, mainly if we base off the Alaric campaign, which ends with the conquest of Aquitania. Later Franks would arrive and push the Visigoth kingdom south, but that’s another story.

I don’t remember mentions of the Ostrogoths in the game. Was there any?

They are your ally in the 4th Attila scenario.

Are the elephant/Ganesha statues new or did they exist already in the scenario editor?

Nope… these are new (20 chars)

They were in an old India building and objects mod for AOE2HD and have been reintroduced in higher res.

Oh man, THAT was a trip down memory lane! I remember installing that specific version of the Indian Architecture Mod.

I wish DE had such a prolific architecture modding scene, but with actual crumbling animations, it isn’t easy. Customizability through mods is one edge HD really has over DE.

Yes, very interesting analysis, I think the same…

Yes, I think that after reaching 48 civs (these three new Indian civs (which give a total of 42 civs in the game),2 in the Balkans (Serbs and Croats (44),2 in Africa (Kongoleses and Bantues or Somalis) (46) and 2 in the Caspian Border (Georgians and Armenians - it looks like that dlc will have a lot of fabric to cut at the time xd), they will no longer make dlcs for the game and will focus on balancing all the multiplayer and while they will focus on making dlcs for aoe 3 DE, launch aom DE and maybe retake aoe 1 DE and put some dlc (one in South Asia (Mauryas and Vietnamese) and one in Europe (Celts and Huns)…

Scrap the Southern Slavs for American civs and I agree with you. We have tons of (Eastern) Europeans already while Inca are extremely lonely and Maya/Aztecs quite lonely.

I expect anyway that they won’t add new architecture sets anymore apparently so Croats/Serbs would just use Eastern European/Mediterranean architecture which would be more than lame considering they’re the most used sets already.

I’d simply skip a Balkan one tbh.

EDIT: Sorry for that but if there’s no new architecture set for both Georgians and Armenians, I’d rather not see them and add some Central Asian and/or a South East Asian civ instead.

Tibetans and jurchen I don’t think they put them…cof cof social credits cof cof…

Not at least in aoe 2, although the other unique units could be regional units, as happens with the battle elephant and the winged hussar…

Yes, they feel like units taken from aoe 3 and stuck in aoe 2, but with fewer animations due to the limitations of the genie engine…

sorry, but if you’re including The Caucasus as one of the DLCs, then the rest of Europe should get maybe 1 civ at absolute maximum if the cap is in fact 48.

Of course…or that it was so difficult to do that… that boat also looks like the trireme of aoe 1 DE…

Equal, it is not a plan to put a hundred civs in the game, when people end up playing with the five or ten more op… 48 civs seems to me a round and reasonable number…no one is able to remember 200 bonuses…nor am I able to remember the bonuses of the civs that are currently in the game xd…
