11 I’d buy that. I’d buy that hard.
You are aware Age of Empires II is extremely popular in China, right? Age of Kings came out in 1999 and the game as a whole is very popular in China. Clearly it didn’t “piss them off.” But of course, reality doesn’t matter when “China bad” is on the table.
Portugal was just as distinct, if not more distinct from Castille then Aragon, what the ■■■■ are you talking about?
Nah I disagree. Both Castille and Portugal were born out of the Leonese culture and divided by the 12th century while Aragon was disconected for a long time and were more influenced by the French.
… Aragonese were not influenced by French at all. The Catalonians, sure but not the Aragonese. Hell, the language of Aragon has more in common with Castilian, then Castilian has in common with Leonese.
The Tibetan Empire was reflected as an enemy faction to the Chinese in Emperor-Rise of the Middle Kingdom and I don’t think this game was ever banned in China
It was so popular that they made rip offs which are advertised on YouTube?
Catalonia was a big part of Aragon
And they still stayed separated of Castille for a way longer time than Portugal.
How much Leonese you know? I kind of doubt that claim
I have nothing against Catalans or Aragonese, but the Portuguese and Spanish are WAY too different to be represented by a single civ.
Not true back in the medieval times. I dont care how much Portuguese nationslist think they are diferent, they arent special enough to be separated from the rest of Iberia back in the middle ages.
Or at least not true back then if we want Europe a fair treatment and not treat like if it was the center of the world
How do you know? I guess it will take another week at least, if not 2
The only thing that doesn’t make sense is why make the achievements public if you don’t have any close date for the announcement
I wonder what’s going on…
Tibet will not be added forever.
You missed the point. China isn’t mad at AoE2 because Tibet isn’t a faction, while a presumably unified China is. That’s exactly how the CCP wants things.
Yes, in fact the colonization would have been very controversial and ES would not have wanted to get into that core, or they just liked the aom campaign and continued along that route…
Yes,but in their defense they did not make the expansions of aoe 3,since they were focused on developing Halo Wars…
Ensemble Studios did make AoE3…They disbanded after the launch of Halo Wars in 2009 (anyway later they would end up doing AoE Online as Robot Entertainment in 2011)…
The DLC was updated today after weeks. I hope this means something about the upcoming announcement
“Portos is a dlc that is solely focused about buffing the Portuguese. You need to pay for the dlc to unlock the buffs”
It will also introduce the North Portugese civilization, as well as the Basques and the Catalans. This leaves only 2 more DLC’s before the Iberia region is fully fleshed out and we can move back to Central Western Europe.
560 posts in this thread & no-one mentioned F.C. Porto…
LOL, this is wrong on so many levels.
