Any hints for "Porto" AOE2 DLC?

Why is everyone so upset? All I see are people hating Europe in this thread. I don’t see people hating on Africa or America the same way. I have not read any good argument on adding America or Africa, just this ‘no more europe!’ stuff. Maturity please, people.

You can love what factions you want without belittling others for liking theirs.

Yeah, in my opinion, Africa especially has been done dirty. Even in Asia there are some pretty important civs still missing. However, I don’t have much hope to see everything I wish for be added to the game.

That is very subjective as well.

Minimum there should be an actual wonder building and 10 leader names to have a civi.

i dont think that we need Africa America or India just because we have engough Europe. Its because there was great medieval civilizations that we have to get into this game before simple duchies like Burgundy or Bohemia.

I don’t care if they add a new Euro civ, ok if its good don’t matter.

but my prefer is Africa as a big and very diverse continet wich haves not engough representation.

It’s not about hating Europe, it’s about being fatigued with it. It already has the most civ density in the game and the last two dlc (arguably three if you count the Last Khans) were about it. You’re complaining that we don’t treat parts of the world that were held to a lower standard the same way as we treat Europe, when what we’re asking is for them to be treated with more equity. It’s basically asking that we keep this inbalanced statu quo, which is false equivalency at its finest.

You’re allowed to have that opinion but I love European history, and I would always love more expansions for it. I don’t mind other places either, I will still buy. But I won’t speak against them just because I don’t like them.

Big but scarcely populated, Asia on the other hand is totally different story.

Once again, it’s not about hate, it’s about equity. And to be honest, it’s also a matter of timing. I think Dawn of the Dukes would already have been better received by the community if it wasn’t following Lords of the West. If the devs started focusing on Asia and gave it three dlc in a row, I would also expect complaints from the community and it would not necessarily mean that people hate Asia.

What are the parameters of equity?
I can see from your point of view, but if you loved those places you wouldn’t complain would you? But I would not mind 3 asian dlcs, as long as they could give more variety and good history.

For how big Asia is, and how densely populated it was compared to other continents, I’d gladly buy 3 dlcs on Asia only.
But only if those civs are done well and balanced. My first concern is to have interesting, sufficiently unique and balanced civs.

Muisca Confederation may be the best native American candidate I think.

They are the true El Dorado, mature regimes and one of the best-organized confederations of tribes.
Their UU can be the guecha warriors who throwing darts on foot or shooting darts by blow guns.
The conquest of the Muisca was the heaviest of all four Spanish expeditions to the great American civilizations.
And, they are who we still have not touched yet.

Well, I do love those places, and I still think they should not be the only ones receiving love. If we got 3 dlc for South Asia, East Asia and then Southeast Asia in a row, I would be annoyed not to see anything new for Africa and the Americas, and if it kept going I may even complain that we’re still lacking important civs in Europe. Same goes if we got 3 African or American dlc in a row.
Again I like Europe, but it’s already overcrowded and overdone. I also like chocolate, and I don’t have an entire diet made of chocolate.

I am pretty sure they will post something in between 6 and 8 pm gmt, that’s the best time for this.
And it’s also fine cause everybody somewhat “knows” when to expect these.
Ofc they can’t make it official as always there can come something in between, but pretty sure they aim for this. (And some aiming is always necessary, so why don’t chose the best timing for it?)

Muisca, Chimu and Tarascans - best trio for America.

Nobody is hating on Europe tho?
We had two DLCs in a row focusing on Europe alone, and before that, Rise of the Rajas was the only expansion to not add any new European civ. Every other region is underrepresented in comparison.

Chimu and wari make more sense to me. Both in the late bronze age, plus being more relevant according to the graph. The same goes for tamils and bengals. In the graph, aztecs, incas and mughals are just chunks compared to them.
